  1. Hybrid / CVT Break-In?

There is nothing special you need to do. Everything is controlled by computers. eCVT does not learn.
  2. Order placement based on day submitted question.

There are dealerships being listed on here selling 3% below invoice my man. You’re overpaying for no reason. Offering cash does nothing to simplify anything. It’s like showing everyone at the poker table your cards to make playing the hand easier. Easier for everyone but you.
  3. Order placement based on day submitted question.

Exactly. In your attempt to simplify the negotiating you’ve actually shot yourself in the foot and destroyed your negotiating position. Now that salesman knows he needs to make all his money on the vehicle itself which is only half as much as they would have made had you financed. That dealer...
  4. Order placement based on day submitted question.

Did you tell them you have all the cash? Never ever tell the dealership you’re going to pay cash.
  5. Order placement based on day submitted question.

If I were this guys manager I would have given him both barrels. What the hell does it matter if you could pay for it or not? Is he under the impression that if he had a maverick show up to the dealership and you backed out that it wouldn’t sell to someone else within 24 hours? My dealership...
  6. Rear cup holders on XLT and LARIAT?

Yes and no. It would be redundant for anything that fits in a standard cup holder but my 28oz yeti is too big and I will 100% have my buddy print me a cup holder to fit it.
  7. Rear cup holders on XLT and LARIAT?

Ford has left a slot on the back of the center console they call the ā€œFord Integrated Tetherā€. It’s a fancy way of saying they left us a space to insert whatever the aftermarket creates. It could be outfitted with cup holders as pictured or a GoPro mount or a trash can. Whatever we can dream up...
  8. Ford Maverick vs Explorer Size Comparison - Real Life Sighting

And yet I haven’t seen one yet
  9. CACTUS GRAY Maverick Photos Thread

The more photos I see of cactus grey the more I love it. The grey on black is a great combo.
  10. Tonneau Cover questions

The trifold does remove fairly easily, I just think a rolling soft tonneau is superior to the soft trifold in almost every way. It’s only real advantage is being easier to deploy with a single person. All I know after having many years of experience dealing with tonneau covers is that I would...
  11. Tonneau Cover questions

I would caution everyone about tri-folds. If you’ve never owned a truck before you may not be aware that they are a bed eater when folded up. You will lose about a half foot of your already short 4.5’ bed. Guys come to my work all the time trying to load their F150 short beds with stuff only to...
  12. Anyone know about carpet in the cab?

I think he’s mistaken here. All maverick trims have the same options available in the configurator. You can either option just floor liners* for $135 or floor liners and carpeted mats together for $175. Because each trim has identical options and Ford has mentioned nothing about the materials...
  13. AREA 51 Maverick Photos Thread

Under direct and harsh sunlight area 51 becomes more gray/blue. It’s in the shade and overcast days that the color really comes to life and becomes that darker blue/gray. You guys might want to keep that in mind depending on where you live and what your weather is like. I’m in Detroit and I...
  14. Anyone know about carpet in the cab?

Iā€˜ve seen videos of an XLT interior that is carpeted. I haven’t seen anyone get pictures from inside the cab of an XL though.
  15. Tonneau Cover questions

I’m planning on buying a 12’-13’ fishing kayak next summer so I’m going to wait for Yakima to come out with some bed rails for the maverick which will allow me to transport the kayak without it taking up the bed or sticking out the back. I know they typically work with a couple of tonneau...
  16. Value for money

Hybrids cost of ownership on fuel savings alone over the life of the vehicle is waaaay higher than $900 though. the Hybrid will be saving at least a few hundred dollar every year on fuel.
  17. Value for money

I’ve seen reports that the hybrid battery Ford is using only takes up half the available space it could. Combine that with the dash cubby and it leads me to believe that Ford told the designers that they wanted this thing to be modular from the ground up. I think what they’re really doing is...
  18. My attempt at a Lariat plastidipped

I plan to buy some black wheels for summer and use the OEM’s for a winter tire as well as swap out the silver bar for the black bar from the XL. Definitely going to get a tint on the windows and possibly even the headlight and taillights to hide the chrome inside them. Against the cactus grey I...
  19. Value for money

The maverick is not a half ton truck and it’s aimed at a completely different market segment. No one is buying a maverick for ā€œcapabilityā€, they are buying it for practicality. Price, fuel economy and practicality, three things that larger trucks don’t have.
