Your being kind to the manufacturer on this anomaly of sequencing something as fundamental as getting in a vehicle and driving it. Far too unfriendly to new drivers in my humble opinion.
Something is wrong here. It shouldn't require some secret sequencing to get your vehicle in drive. Hope we (my wife) don't end up stuck at some untimely opportunity. Surprised this isn't a more prevelant discussion point.
Happened again to me, found my way out after a few attempts, but it shoudn't require some secret sequencing of ignition, braking, touch pressure on the gear shift, etc.
I posted a discussion a few years back related to the gear shift locking after starting the vehicle. Initially it happened to my wife when we first got the truck 2 years ago. She was stranded in a parking lot. Well, the darn thing happened again as I was teaching my granddaughter to drive...
Yup. You're right. Legal. I'd be pretty nervous leaving my vehicle parked 12" from the curb with all the big rigs strolling the streets, but that's just me.
I'm thinking the Mini could be parked a bit closer to the curb, and the street appears a bit narrow. Not enough to shift blame, but.......a bummer indeed.
Welcome the MTC., from a fellow Maverick owner up HWY 99 a mile north. Love the new color of your new ride. RE: wait time, I had a 18 month wait for my 2024. Just saying.
Someone backed out of their driveway and hit mine in the same area as your damage, and three bids came in at or around $3500. Surprised your repair bid was "only" $2K. Fortunately, they left a note (one week after the incident)
At 1K miles, I was alerted to an air pressure issue on the right rear tire, reflecting 10 psi below recommended level. Coincidentally, I was enroute to the the dealer to handle a recall issue. They took a look, advised me that my sidewall was embedded by a screw, and could not be patched. Hated...
I also make it a point to respectfully request the dealer place no badges on my new vehicle when I prepare to take delivery of a new vehicle. I've seen some pretty atrocious badges, some even penetrating the sheet metal.
My wife sometimes can't put the vehicle in drive when starting up the vehicle. I remind her to depress the brake and turn the key on all the way. To no avail. What might I advise her?
We are slated to take delivery on an XL Hybrid in the next few days (ordered 9/22) and I am wondering if the the bed has double wall construction. I never assume having lived thru days of single wall construction, and forgot to ask at the point we put $100 down for an order seemingly some years...
Look nice. Where did you get them and what type are they? Do the fit the lug nut pattern on the Maverick? Specs good for axel/drive line on the Mav? Good job on the search.
