I have the 4k tow trans and I haven't noticed any clunky gears. I hardly even notice it shifting much of the time.

I have to disagree. The dealers will get off scot-free. Threatening allocations only works as long as supply is constrained. At some point supply will open up and Ford will be throwing more vehicles at these dealers than they know what to do with - regardless of past transgressions.
