As noted above, the cover is about 1/2" or so short. Mine was installed fully forward and needed to be moved back 1/2" so the rear weatherstrip would engage with the tailgate.
Not judging others, but to me, that seems like needing a posse or affirmation. I'm quite satisfied to ride alone or with others, but I don't seek out others. Again, that's just me.
You didn't say where it leaks. Mine leaked at the tailgate, which was solved by having the dealer move the cover back about 1/2 - 3/4 inch. The OEM cover is a tad bit too short, so it mounted fully forward, the rear weather strip does not engage the tailgate.
I'm guessing people who paid over $70K for a big truck -- or guys trying to compensate for their "little Winston" -- might be thinking a Mav isn't a real truck.
I've driven F-150's for years, and I consider my Mav a compact truck, which is exactly what I want. Full size, mid size and compact are all relative terms, and I'm quite alright calling my Mav a compact.

"The MyQ integration will be removed from Home Assistant in release 2023.12 on December 6, 2023. Chamberlain Group, the owners of MyQ...
100% agree... it depends on what we want. I posted my reasons in response to someone who suggested EB owners regret not getting a hybrid. I chose the EB knowing the trade-off because it's what I want. Others choose hybrid because it's what they want. There is no right or wrong. Don't worry, be...
I own a great hybrid car and love it. I'll only drive my truck 3K-4K miles per year, and I chose the EB for several reasons, some of whack are as follows.
Difference in annual fuel cost is negligible (to me)
I want AWD
I want a transmission with discrete gears
I don't want brakes to grab when...
Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be careful closing the hood in cold weather. So far, I'd say my favorite accessory of those I listed is the wireless Android Auto because I get the benefit every time I drive. The others are occasional benefits. However, I added one I forgot to list, which is no...
