Unfortunately plastic washers are not as big as the base of d-ring assembly. It's about 2 inches. It is recommended to to have d-ring assembly/plate to be flat with surface to insure structural integrity. So....Pringle lid works fine as it made out of same material PP5.
Its a screen shot. Reason is I have Amazon app installed and it always referencing ND showing in the app(can't get Link).

I don't know any of the shell product that will help you.... But...try to use transparent cap from Pringle chips. It's big enough and thin that it will not slide around. It the best solution that I can think.
So.... About GPS first: it's always off by 1-3 miles due to triangulation(known fact). 2) digital street sight is always incorrect.... It cost money to correctly set it up and monthly maintenance( ask a police officer who stoped you when it was last time serviced and you might get out of ticket...
So just got ba k from 2k miles trip. Still using my app to track down fuel vs miles. Aways fill up to full tank. I can say that in city driving is most officiant in 45 mpg in slippery mode. While driving on interstate I used ECO mode and achieved a 38.25 mpg while carrying 3 pax + cat and about...
I hate to quote the Top Gun...... But... "it's not.... It's a pilot". Only 37.75 mpg it's my wife first time driving my hybrid. On interstate with 70-80mph. She doesn't know magic of COASTING. it's true calculations based on full tank and tachometer information.
Not bad. My 1 cent is anything under 1h driving is in slippery mode. Over 1h in eco. Difference when your dash showing hybrid you will see blue box that gives electric boost while under constant speed. Post result for your slippery mode.
