  1. What is the slot for?

If that were the case it would need to be a lot bigger. I use to hold an ID card for easy access. IMHO a good use of otherwise wasted space.
  2. Problems with tail lights

The problem with using the 12v power point in the bed is it doesn’t power on until the vehicle is turned on. I may have a solution for the drivers side taillight not working. It involves making two changes to the wiring harness, one necessary and one optional 1) Mandatory. I cut the brown wire...
  3. Ford LED Tailgate Lightbar Installed

I may have a solution for the drivers side taillight not working. It involves making two changes to the wiring harness, one necessary and one optional 1) Mandatory. I cut the brown wire and connected a 47ohm 2w resister between the two ends. This I believe limits the inrush current for the...

  6. Lux package?

No it doesn’t but then again it’s not nearly as wide as mid or full size trucks so there really isn’t a need for them.

I have a ForScan setup and would be willing to meet. I live Plymouth but am currently at the Detroit Yacht Club on Belle Isle for the weekend.
  9. Hauling a kayak on Maverick with Elevate Rack System

Elevate Rack at 18" position with 13.5' Hobie Kayak. As you can see still plenty of clearance.
  10. Best fittings for kayaks compatible with Tonneau

First of all love the wood kayak especially the joinery visible on the sides. I have a 16' Hobie kayak with the Elevate Rack and Thule Hullavators which allow me to load by myself. I use additional ratchet straps (yellow straps) to better secure kayak. Could also attach bow and stern tie...
  11. Best fittings for kayaks compatible with Tonneau

I used a Thule Hullavator Kayak Rack which sets the Kayak about 4" above the Elevate Rack. I had the Elevate Rack set at 23" from the bed sides which would put it about 45" above the bed floor. Could do Elevate at 18" (40" above bed).
  12. Hauling a kayak on Maverick with Elevate Rack System

A few things drove my decision to use this setup 1) I like the look of the Elevate Rack and I figured it was more practical on a day to day basis for hauling other stuff. 2) On a previous vehicle I managed to scratch my roof pretty badly putting on a roof rack so I was nervous about that. 3) The...

Elevate rack system and lo-pro tonneau cover from Realtruck.com. Thule Hullavator kayak system
  14. Hauling a kayak on Maverick with Elevate Rack System

Just to give you an idea of clearances. The Hullavator raises the kayak about 4 inches above the crossbar. With the rack at the 23" position I have about 10-12" clearance over the cab. Hard to get an exact measurement as the kayak hangs over the side of the truck
  15. Hauling a kayak on Maverick with Elevate Rack System

Hauled a 16' Hobie kayak using Thule Hullavator lift system attached to an Elevate Rack system. Had to do a few mods on the Hullavator to attach it the the Elevate Rack. First trip did about 30 highway miles, kept the speed at about 65 as a trial and it came through with flying colors. Kind of...
