Since I have the drop in liner and purchased a Ford mat, can I replace the floor liner with the mat, thus using the 4 “sides” with the Ford mat. Comments appreciated.

‘24 truck came with drop in liner which I find too slick. Tried to drop in a Ford bed mat but the mat is too big. I see 2 options: pull out the floor piece and replace it with the mat or leave the drop iliner in place and trim the mat. Suggestions?
