    I don’t know if you could really strip the chrome it’s fairly thick I actually lightly media blasted them. We use coal slag as a media in our cabinet and as it breaks down to a finer powder it seams to give a perfect texture for the paint to grip…. I also use an epoxy primer on them before paint…

    Ive been painting cars and plastic body parts for years it was as is the original one smooth enough to paint there is no real texture on it at all.. I hit it with some wax and grease remover scuffed it up good with a light to medium scotch bright pad washed it again and was on to painting….

    Thanks I first did the emblems in a matte finish both the black and carbon gray and it didn't look right to me so I scuffed them up and shot them in gloss.. Truck is Azure Gray and is getting some Carbonized Gray accents there suttle but I like the contrast... So Far I have done the mirror caps...
