I used to get Weather Tech for all my vehicles, but I put Tuxmat in my Mav and absolutely love them. No more slipping when stepping in with wet or snowy boots, and they look great! I do like carpeted mats, but the Tuxmat stays in year round.
Being a low-mileage drive (90% short drives in town), I prefer the EB and planned to trade my '24 Lariat for a '25 until I learned of the GPF, which, which needs special attention to avoid problems. Somebody had posted that Ford does not put the GPF on Mavs shipped to Iowa. If true, I may...
When my auto start/stop quits working, I top off the battery with my battery tender connected overnight, then it works for a couple weeks or so. Rinse and repeat.
I'd say today's price reflects inflation plus the normal effect of supply and demand in a free market economy. Even at $40K the Maverick is exactly what I need for light occasional hauling, 90% town driving, and about 3K miles per year. I sold a perfectly good 2018 F-150 Lariat to buy my Mav...
I cancelled my order for a '25 Lariat EB, not due to lower HP, but because I learned about the GPF. I only drive my truck about 3K miles per year, mostly town miles, and GPF's don't like it when it can't heat up long enough to burn off the crap it collects.
100 years? Only China plans that far ahead. Meanwhile, the world will still need those liquified remains for the next couple decades or so while we transition to renewables at a sustainable pace.
As I tell people who say "this may be a dumb question": there are no dumb questions, only dumb people... then smile and prepare to run like hell if they get pissed. :)
True, but Techron Concentrate Plus Fuel System Cleaner does the job for me. I wouldn't need it if I used Top Tier fuel, but I use Hy Vee fuel points, and we don't have any Top Tier stations around here that accept the Hy Vee discount.
My '24 EB performance is noticeably better with premium gas (no ethanol), so that's what I use. Cost difference is insignificant for me since I only drive the Mav 3K - 4K miles per year.
