I have a couple of large forklift FLA batteries that exhaust hydrogen sulfide gas in a confined area.
It's not a problem because they are more than adequately vented.
A friend of mine got very ill because his solar FLA batteries were not vented.
I wonder if the guy involved changed his...
I looked at a lot of sites and I don't recall where I found that, but I don't recall a mention of the Transit Connect. The F150 (likely due to being around a long time) is easier to find numbers for, and there is a lot of data on other full size trucks where comparisons are made, albeit with...
Wow - $7K-$8K for the door and a minor rear fender scrape with a $2K deductible? Ouch.
No wonder insurance rates are way up! Was that an estimate at the Mercedes dealer?
I'd be looking for an alternative. At least another couple of body shops if not maybe finding a white rear passenger...
Not only have I never had this happen, I've never even heard of something similar before.
I've had tires that needed rebalancing, but that never caused an air loss.
It will be interesting to hear what they come back with, but it sounds more like an episode of the Twilight Zone than a new tire...
The eCVT on the hybrid never really "shifts", it just evolves into higher ratios.. ;)
It does take a bit to get used to it, as well as the rotating directional indicator selector switch, but the more I drive it, the more I like it.
Perhaps an extra credit option...
I recall similar results to the study you mention.
I've also seen estimates for tonneau covers improving aerodynamics (5% to 10%) when they cover the truck bed. This would seem to be in conflict with the "bubble in the bed" thanks to the tailgate up...
Prop open your hood and add a cat bed while parked.
Actually, just leaving your hood open works for folks out here.
A rodents prime directive is hiding.
So, I can get any Maverick, Ranger or F 150 for the same price... Hmm... I get to choose the price.
So,
I'd buy the Ford F150 Lightning Platinum for the Maverick XL price , immediately sell it to someone who wants that vehicle for closer to the real price, buy a Maverick, and have a zero net...
Sadly, (or in this case not very sadly 😉 ) I cannot recall ever even being in an Edsel, so no idea where the horn trigger is located. My comment was intended in jest.
Edit: Just saw the dash pic. Gotta love that "space age" rotating 3D speedometer, and of course the 5 integer digit...
My vote is yes - For you.
After you install it, you can let us know if you find any discernable difference of dirt accumulation or any other measure of performance.
Although, if you follow the feedback advice, the current trend is for No.
Looking at the Air Design Site, it seems kinda pricey...
I used to drive a similar vehicle, a 1969 Subaru Van, and although it was good on gas, it's impact resistance wasn't much better than a bicycle. It was like a beer can on wheels.
The vent in the front between the headlights was operated by a lever.
When opened you had a clear view of the...
@Bones 615 Tennessee
Good stuff. By next year you'll have made the savings on a pair of jeans a drop in the bucket compared to your fuel savings.
+1 on the tailgate damper. I found one on AMZ for $12 on a black Friday deal.
There are LOTS of Maverick accessories.
If you drive in snow or...
Actually, the car's software doesn't know the tire circumference. It measures rotations rather than actual distance travelled, so a larger tire will travel a greater distance on each rotation than the stock sized tire.
The odometer will be showing less distance than is actually travelled...
