Here is a link to a 2025 Maverick Owners Manual in searchable PDF file format.
Keep it on a laptop and it's a lot easier to use than a paper document.
If there are specific pages, just print those and save a couple of trees.
It's 568 pages !
The best desulphation strategy is to prevent sulphation in the first place, as it occurs when a battery is left in a discharged state.
If the car is on an AGM profile smart charger whenever it's parked, it won't get sulphated.
I've had an AGM batteries last well over a decade when kept...
Good point. Anything that makes the car inoperable (as opposed to inconvenient) should be applicable, but isn't.
I'm thinking about an extended warranty at some point, but I imagine there could be "caveats to coverage" beyond normal wear items with the Ford or Granger extended warranties as well.
How do you have a vehicle with 51K on the clock that is still under the 3 year/36K factory warranty?
Edit: Answer: You don't - It still has the 5 year 60K powertrain warranty. Oops.
I have a 25XL and yes, it has the keyed tailgate lock but no it doesn't have an electric lock.
It's an option.
You can buy the parts to DIY it, but I prefer using the key.
I also prefer the keyed ignition, which is part of the reason why I bought the XL.
I watch local broadcast stations for the local news and weather, and low and behold, this morning there was a Ford Company (not a dealer) truck advertisement.
They mentioned the Ranger and the Maverick BEFORE the F-150.
All other Ford truck ads I've seen were for the F-150.
This was the first...

I'm a fan of the Falken WildPeak Trails, but then I do a mix of long highway and poor dirt roads to get to the pavement. The WildPeaks are great in snow and rain, and quiet on the highway.
They also wear well.
And perhaps important to you, they don't look like they belong on a Honda...
I have owned Subaru cars for decades, still have one, but I would not buy a new one.
I bought a new Maverick instead.
I'm active on a Forester forum, and there are LOTS of complaints.
On the plus side, they do have a good AWD system and good safety ratings.
Otherwise they have their share of...
I assume you are pointing out out the problem with the ultimate nanny state approach.
Many would be against it...
Anyone who hates apartments or high rise buildings.
Those who prefer choice over what someone decides what you want to buy.
The model assumes no one is working off site. It must...
No way Ford is going to discontinue the Maverick, as it's a big (and growing) seller for Ford.
As was noted, the Escape being dropped from the lineup is morel likely to mean that more Mavericks will be built.
Edit: I forgot to mention that any Ford executive who proposed dropping a vehicle from...
Perhaps that information will help another reader.
The conversation at the time was in regards to the potential for high mpg's in the hybrid.
Were an estimate to be derived on potential mileage until the fuel runs out based on current usage, albeit a short run, the estimate using electric...
When driving a hybrid powered by the battery, the actual MPG at that moment in time is based on the rate of evaporation of the fuel, as it isn't burning any.
IMHO, where a salesperson's lack of knowledge makes a difference, is when a customer has a question and is given a wrong answer. When the customer finds out the truth, a natural position to take is, the guy doesn't know what he's talking about, so why listen to them.
Passengers = Yes, but not often.
As with many things, it's better to have the capability and not need it than it is to need it and not have it. The rear seats also can hold a lot of stuff that I don't want in the pick up bed.
I also like some space behind me rather than a window.
I haven't used a Ford parts website yet, but typically most vehicle parts sellers have the factory exploded parts diagrams of components and those include fasteners.
Otherwise, the fasteners that fit the holes are the right ones for each spot:
Open hole, it's a push pin.
Threaded, it's a...
