We are getting dirrerent information. When I talked to the Hopkins people on Thursday, I was told to just set the force to the lowest number. That made sense to me because the Brake Buddy only presses the pedal. With correct force applied I can't see that Brake Buddy wouldn't work with any system.

How did you mount/place the 12v outlet under or around the dash area?

I've been wondering this as well. Are the brakes still powered up when the truck is in neutral tow mode? If so, at what level would you set the pressure on the Brake Buddy? P.S. I talked to the guy at Brake Buddy and he said to set the pressure at the lowest you can(5 to 10 lbs).

Thanks again Brad! Since I diode and fuse the charge wire I may forego the mini charger. I'm still mulling over the portable power supply. If I have one....count 'em....ONE deep sleep problem, an AGM will be installed.

Thanks Brad! I've picked up a lot from you so far. The code reader will be awaiting the Mav with the other stuff. Since I'm running a trickle wire to the battery (as I have long used for the Honda), I think my 12v plug may suffice. Thanks again and I will NOT hesitate to ask for advice and help!

All my stuff is laid out on the garage floor. Demco plate, wiring with diodes, wiring for 12v piug for Brake Buddy, breakaway switch and associated wire, a tailgate piston, and a tonneau. Now If I just had a Maverick to put everything on........

The Demco folks told me last week that getting one from them may take several weeks. Since my “build” is supposed to be this week, I ordered one. I hope the Mav and the plate arrive around the same time. P.S. Where are the “fingers crossed" emojis?

When setting up for RV towing, does the auxiliary 12v lose power when the ignition is turned off for Neutral Tow? If so, how do you power your braking system? I plan to continue using my older Brake Buddy and if necessary, I will run a dedicated 12v.

Didn't you say that you installed yours? If it's simple bolt on, I should be able to do it as well. The wiring is my expertise. My age(77) is the only detriment. If (AND WHEN) I get it,...Demco it is!

From one who has a Maverick on order; THANK YOU Terry! I have used Blue Ox everything for over 20 years and am going to have a towplate installed when(and if) I get it. A Roadmaster or Demco will go on mine.

One of the many reasons for me to order a new Maverick Hybrid is that it is 4-down towable. Are there any other RVers on ths forum that can share any pros and cons?
