  1. Mavericks are available at some dealerships in Ontario

Could these be examples of why Ford cracked down on US dealers to do the customer verification process (COPD) as they figured out some dealers were putting in fake customer orders to pad their inventory?
  2. Where are all the Mavericks?

I am in the burbs close to Vancouver and I have only seen 3 (correction, 4 if you include the plain jane XL I sat in at the dealer) since I ordered mine 137.5 days ago (but who's counting). I should mention I don't spend a great deal of time driving around other than to and from work and short...
  3. One handed, decluttered Apple CarPlay/Android Auto

Yeah, I might have misinterpreted Applink... oh well I will look at the best way to connect my phone when I finally have a Maverick in the driveway.
  4. One handed, decluttered Apple CarPlay/Android Auto

Great job! I am kind of glad I opted for the Lariat (I am still waiting for mine) as I believe you do not have to connect by wire… I have waited over 14 years just to have the ability to play my music from my iPhone without having to use a Bluetooth to FM adaptor or a Bluetooth dongle plugged...
  5. One handed, decluttered Apple CarPlay/Android Auto

If you switch to the public beta of iOS 17 the updated Apple Maps allows for offline maps.
  6. Is remote start worth it or will the app be good enough?

My Vue is a 2008 - the first year of the Opel Antara version. I got used to the 3.6L engine especially when my company was subsidizing my gas costs. The last time I peaked under it while it was on the hoists there was very little rust 🤞🏻!
  7. Is remote start worth it or will the app be good enough?

I like this and might use my Apple Watch as the backup way to start my truck if I am ever so lucky as to have it built. I bought an after market remote starter for my 81 Stang many moons ago that had an unbelievable range, built in pet mode (auto start stop) and a picture of a car on the remote...
  8. My ’23 Lariat Hybrid was keyed in a parking lot

Two days ago I popped into our local Costco to pick something up I pre-ordered. I parked at the back of the lot inches from a curb. The lot has wide parking spots with double lines between each parking spot. When I got back to my SUV someone in a big pickup truck parked over both lines and right...
  9. Stitched a Leather Cover Onto my Steering Wheel

Your reply reminded me of the time I replaced the clock spring on my mustang. If I remember correctly you had to leave it disconnected for some predetermined length of time so that the capacitor could completely drain before working on it. I think I doubled the recommended time before starting.
  10. My ’23 Lariat Hybrid was keyed in a parking lot

If your anything like me I doubt it... I got my first door ding last month on my 15 year old daily driver. Fortunately I was able to use a glue gun and cheap dent puller to get the dent out and then I polished the other cars paint off of the clear coat on mine. I am very careful where I park and...
  11. Side curtain airbag recall left Maverick dead

The one that happened to me with my current Saturn SUV was as simple as the wiper blade hitting the window frame. They assigned the job to a rookie who instead of finding the proper puller to get the arm of the linkage, pried it up using the hood as a pivot point denting the hood. The hood was...
  12. Anyone Have Any Canada 2023 Rollover Information or 2024 Ordering Information?

Is it possible that because the Hybrid engine is now an option you have to order the truck and then choose the engine as an option as my dealer did with my order.
  13. Alto Blue Hybrid XLT Lux arrived in Burnaby BC

My order is with Ocean Park as well, I am only a few months in on my wait.
  14. Anyone Have Any Canada 2023 Rollover Information or 2024 Ordering Information?

My ‘24 Lariat went up $900. Lost a few things Key Code Pad and down hill control are 2 off the top of my head and I don’t plan on paying for them but I did gain the spray in liner so I guess that puts me ahead slightly. I find it interesting that they added spray in liner for all Lariats as it...
  15. Calculations to help your Hybrid vs. EcoBoost Maverick decision

I have the same feeling about moving away from AWD, but I have almost convinced myself it might be better as I have lived with FWD before and have never gotten myself stuck. Wet Coast Canada, so we get snow but its gone almost as fast as it comes. Also no transfer box to worry about down the road.
  16. SecuriCode Keyless-Entry Keypad is available again for Maverick

It's too bad they don't add Bluetooth connectivity to the app so you can do functions like unlocking using your phone without cell service when you are within 10 - 15 feet.
  17. Calculations to help your Hybrid vs. EcoBoost Maverick decision

I did some quick calculations comparing the hybrid vs the EB vs my current ride (a 3.6L SUV). Using current gas prices (rounded to $2.00/L) and my average mileage for a year and figured I would save about $5500 in gas vs the EB and $10000 vs my SUV over 8 years. I assume the battery with be on...
  18. Anyone Have Any Canada 2023 Rollover Information or 2024 Ordering Information?

I emailed my salesman today and a few hours later he replied saying the '24 ordering just came on line and he sent me a a preview order that closely matched my '23 order. I approved the order and asked for copies of the confirmations when he gets them... the wait starts again!
  19. Update: 2024 order bank system now open & accepting dealer submissions! Post your build

I assume this why they have not updated the Canadian site for '24 orders. Staggering the volume although I would think the Canadian site will likely only have 10% of the current volume to deal with! Also they most likely will not be closing the Canadian order window (as per '23) as it probably...
  20. 📣 2024 Maverick ordering & changes info! Price increases, new Terrain & Azure Gray colors, product changes, etc.

I ordered a fully loaded 23 Carbonized Grey Lariat Hybrid with the BAP and I will order it again as a 24. I know they are trying to sway some away from the Hybrid by making the motor optional but I am sticking to my guns. There is a small part of me thinking maybe wait to see what the 25 have to...
