considering the 4 pin connector and hitch are standard on the Lariat and they added the spray in liner as standard I am hoping they know they will have them available. The only thing that might slow mine down is the mud flaps. 🫣
whaaa? That was the first thing my sales person showed me. They had a XL on the lot (buying a “truck” was not even on my mind). He flipped open the tri fold tonneau cover and set the tailgate in the higher position. Then I sat in it and I was hooked!
You won’t get a VIN until your truck gets scheduled. I am still waiting and I originally ordered a ‘23 last March. Seems they are building November/ December orders right now. You also have to know about allocations. It’s a steep learning curve when you order from Ford!
If you do not hear from your salesperson by tomorrow you might want to just confirm your order is in and the status is approved. If you have your sales order you can use the info there to have the chat on the ford site give you the status.
I know I am hard on floor mats. I have worn a hole in the carpeted ones that came in my 08 Saturn Vue. Fortunately the rubber backing is holding up. I tend to keep my heal anchored in one spot and rotate my foot from gas to brake. Hence why I opted for the Ford ones without carpet in my Maverick...
I mocked up what I was thinking of doing on the stock photo from my My23 build. I did not want to go back and do the same on the My24 one, but it has the power back window and mud flaps. lol
It looks like they were folded and have not lost the crease yet. It might be that they are folded when shipped to a dealer for sale individually but may come laid out flatter in bulk for the factory addition?
I think about how much I could be saving every time I take my dog to his favourite dog park. It’s a 15 minute drive both ways. My Saturn is probably getting 19 miles/ gallon with a mix of highway and city driving.
my wife’s 1.3L turbo Eco Cruise gets about 32 miles / gallon so we probably use...
my understanding is Ford USA was only recommending it from most of My23 and forced a clean up and mandatory COPD close the the end of this manufacturing year for ‘23. I assume many of us are waiting because of this.
From what a understand Ford Canada was enforcing the COPD through most if not all of My23 ordering so this might have kept the number orders lower up here by eliminating fake dealer orders being done just to put trucks on the lots.
Our insurance provider (used to - not sure if still does) allows the at fault driver to pay 100% of the cost to repair the insured vehicle and avoid the penalties. They will in essence work as a broker to insure the not at fault vehicle is repaired to their standard and remove the risk of being...
I would take that over the absolute silence we get from Ford Canada. All information goes to your dealer so you are left in the dark and fed snippets of information if you take the time to ask either the dealer or Ford Customer Service.
Good to know… I was also planning on salvaging my aftermarket backup cam off of my SUV before I sell or trade it and making a cord that plugs in to the 12v connector in the box so I can add any external view anywhere I needed one (ie back of trailer). I figured if I mount it on one of those...
I finally got around to taking a closer look at the cost comparison between My23 and My24. Almost the exact builds (the 23 Lariat was loaded with all the possible tech packages). The total difference was $925 more for the '24, but then when you consider the spray in liner , bed rails with 2...
I know I am going to get a little heat from my sister and brother over the size of my truck (if and when I finally get it). Both of my siblings drive full sized trucks, all of my brothers son's have big full sized trucks. They all live in Alberta up in the Oil Patch and my brother is a long haul...
Some of the reasons I decided to go with the Maverick;
1) Easier to park in a parking lot.
2) Convenience of having box in the back bigger then the cargo area of an SUV.
3) Probably still fit in my garage as it is .02 inches narrower than my Vue, but it is 19.6" longer.
I will have to...
