I was going to order the Red Pepper Hybrid XLT early June 2024. Luckily, my salesman told me: 1) That was a special color, and was going away in 2025. 2) Special orders were at least a few months out, and the yearly changeover would probably happen first. 3) The next day he called to ask me...
First aid kit, battery booster with adaptor cords, and bungees. Poly foil wraps in case of cold weather stranding. Always an extra ball cap and a portable windbreaker. Old towels good enough to dry me off, but expendable, if necessary. Some rags, a small roll of TP, and paper towels. LED...
Nice! Good old American ingenuity. As to a tent, you can take a regular tent or shelter for living/dining quarters when you are in no hurry. Use a net with a weighted throw rope to hoist your cooler up in a tree to avoid bears.
CONGRATULATIONS!
I either lost my remote, or it was stolen at an airport we used recently. When I checked my local Ford dealer I found replacement was covered under my Ford Premium warranty.
It took about three(3) days to get the new one in, and the service gal called me immediately to arrange for me to come...
My general observation here has been; the owners having the most complaints(minus recalls) about problems seem to have arisen from changing out things that were designed for the Mavs by qualified engineers. Translation: screwing with qualified design. One being that it really wasn't intended to...
I bought a DONPIDA dash cover from Amazon in gray. They also offer black. It was only $21.00 plus tax. It fits very well, and looks great. Once you let it warm up (preferably in the sun) it will smooth out and fit well. It cuts down on glare, and also reduces noise too. NOTE: No matter what...
My Ford brand weather liners fit pretty well. My 2022 Honda CR-V liners fit perfectly. I do not know who makes either. However, I have friends that have gotten Weathertechs that fit poorly, and they are flimsier than the auto brand mats. I have heard the Lasfits from Amazon fit well.
A...
Yesterday a very competent, young mobile mechanic from Reineke Dealerships put a new battery in my wife's Honda CR-V. I asked him if he could do the camera fix on my 2024 Maverick XLT, also. He checked with his boss, and was given permission. It only took about 40 minutes. Then he said we...
It would seem that on most forum sites there are trolls, cry babies, and the people who are generally interested in offering useful info and/or advice.
If one considers it, everyone that owns a Maverick does not have any problems beyond the Recall issues. When a real problem arises, Ford works...
I do not worry about the starter. As a salesman to Ford Lima, Ohio engine plant I drove Fords. During the day I stared my engine 15-20 times. Three vehicles were driven over 100,000 miles each without a starter probelem.
As my city has mostly short interval traffic lights, I often turn it off...
C onsidering there have been a half million produced. The WAh! WAH! is quite a small amount. Then consider there are troubles for those that have made changes, additions, etc.. I.E screwing with a good thing as is!!!
I cannot say about the non-hybrid. My 24 XLT Hybrid came with the mats, and they fit pretty well. The only ones I have seen that fit better are in our 22 CR-V.
People tell me the Weather Techs aren't as good as in the past.
Tony, hasn't that dealership been closed? I thought Reineke's bought it and closed it. Did you buy your Mav in Findlay? I bought mine in Tiffin where I reside.
I am an old man too. LOL!
I do not know if this still holds true, but, traditionally, the steelies will allow faster tire wear, and are harder to keep in balance. Most custom wheels are a precision spin casting. They just perform better.
