I still have a can Of Turtle Wax Ice paste wax, but I have switched to Turtle Wax Sprays; less effort but still a great shine.
If you enjoy doing the paste method, more power to you!
Tune it up?!
My hybrid '24 has plenty of oomph, and the first time I kicked it in the tail to pass, I was plesantly surprised.
IMO if you are not having any problems with your present Mav, why go into another 5 year loan situation?
At 41k miles you probably have most of "the bugs" worked out...
Last week before this Ford deal was announced, I checked my dealer's inventory. They did have several 2025's in stock and quite a few 2024's They showed a reduction in price on the 2024 XL and XLT variants at about $1k - $1.5K. I would want some sort of coating, special ceramics, etc. on...
I have a leftover cargo net, that I use to keep lighter items near the tailgate. I also cut and fit a piece of Trex (I bought the gray) for the first insert slots. Though it was more expensive than a piece of wood, it fit better, and looks better; IMO. I use some left over flexible foam to...
I made up replacement fuse boxes for my Gold Wings, and when I switched to Spyder RT's the fuses needed were pretty much the same.
On a group ride a fellow rider's dash lights went out, and he needed a 25 amp fuse, of which I had two. Problem solved.
I bought small boxes from Amazon, and they...
I like the look. Thanks for showing them.
Per my tire shop manager Conitinental makes some of the best tires for wet, dry, quiet ride, tracking, and affordability.
They have proven themselves on a Honda Civic and two Honda CR-V's. On my 24 Mav they are very quiet, and outstanding in the wet.
Per the manual, and other resources, one should stop at the first click. That allows for expansion, etc..
This is especially true on the hybrids, as they use a pressurized fuel system.
I love the orange accents! Great job.
I went with red on the outside, as I thought it looked better with the blue! Stayed mostly with blue in the interior.
Wow, that dealer has balls. I would have demanded at least $2 per mile reduction in price, or I would take him to small claims court, and gone for more.
My Maverick had 31 miles on it when I took delivery, most of which, were miles I put on it test driving it. They gave me another full tank of gas.
Personally, I would not go to a different dealer for the warranty. Your local Ford dealer has to do the work, but they don't have to make it convenient for you i.e. your Mav may sit a few hours, or days, before "They can get to it!" I would ask them, if they can match Granger's quote.
Since the Koreans do not design new, but follow as copiers, I doubt they have anything on Ford engineering.
The hybrid arrangement in the Maverick is an offshoot of the original system Ford began using abou 1999, surely with some improvemnts.
A friend's wife told me about using Swiffers(dusters). They work very well for both Ohio and Florida dusts and pollens. They dont scratch the finish either.
