I did not know that mid range fuel just pumps 50/50 from regular and premium. I recall "sticking" gas station underground gas tanks and in the 1970, many years ago, I had to stick each tank. (Sticking is just a long wooden stick shoved down in the buried storage tank to read how full the tank was)

Perhaps the fact the hybrid tank is pressurized and the hybrid gas tank fuel door is locked? Eco does not have a locked gas tank door.

Sold 22 Lariat AWD 4k 360 with 3k miles after owning it a few month. $3k over msrp. replaced it with hybrid maverick. Eco is fun and fast Hybrid is much slower and heavier but smoother than eco and great mileage if gas stays relatively cheap eco is the winner in my world.
