And a much smaller backseat. The proportions of the Maverick are different than the old Ranger but people tend to exaggerate how different they are in absolute size.
There is a question that is suddenlty important to me. How wide exactly is the cubby opening? Is it wide enough to fit a MiG clock, I wonder? I suspect it probably isn't wide enough.
The 90s Rangers are very similar to the Maverick in height and length, with the regular cab being shorter and the extended cab being longer. Width of the Maverick is about 4 inches wider.
Was the 2011 Ford Ranger not a compact? The Maverick is 4 inches shorter than the extended cab old Ranger, albeit a bit wider.
Back in 1983 the original Motorweek review for the Ranger called it a midsize truck which was puzzling to me until they parked it between an F150 and a Courier.

Actually if the data is being collected and sold commercially there is a good chance that police can just purchase the info from data brokers without even getting a warrant. That's a contested area of the 4th amendment.

Hah, I’m in Minnesota and I had a similar thought when my Maverick was not scheduled. It’s disappointing but at least that means I will get it after then end of salt season. Unless of course it overshoots the brief Minnesota summer and I don’t get it until *next* winter…
I don't get the people complaining about false advertising. They say it's a full size tire and it is. It's rated for highway use and it's on a 17" rim. If Ford had said it was a same size or identical spare then I guess that would make sense. But they didn't.
The modules being activated is something that happens when the truck is actually being built, right? What does it have to do with a thread about trucks being scheduled?
NO NO NO. Now that you've frankensteined this thread all the pedants are back saying that the Maverick has no heritage even though Ford has been selling small pickups for 50 years.
As has been discussed ad nauseum, what constitutes a mini or compact truck is all about what you are comparing it to. The original Motorweek review of the 1983 Ford Ranger calls it a midsize truck. Which seemed funny to me until in the very next shot they park it between a Ford Courier and an...
I recently ordered a 2024 Maverick XL and I am very excited to get it. I live in northern Minnesota so the only thing that has given me pause is the possibility of it rusting prematurely because of all the salt on the roads in the winter.
If you have a Maverick that has gone through a full...
