Thank you for sharing this. The bigger takeaway for me is you have 61k miles on the truck. I know you have another thread where you posted at 50k.
I think we really need to hear more from folks with lots of miles - it gives us hope that not all these Hybrids are doomed to be problematic. If...
another good reason to hide a $20 airtag on your vehicle - they can be tracked almost anywhere in the world. Not that it would help you recover it from Africa, but at least you'd know where to send postcards
You know what else makes it very difficult for people looking for helpful information? Hecklers talking about word salads and complaining about complaints. Some of you who do this look like sycophant fanbois
I use these to conceal airtags in my vehicles, because they can look like something that is naturally a factory part of the vehicle

Ideally you should remove the speaker from the airtag
And yes, I install them regardless of the factory tracking...
Be careful with steel wool - it gets microscopic steel hairs everywhere and they will eventually rust.
Steel wool is a form of abrasive polish. There are lots of abrasive polishes that wont rust.
Steel wool is great for many applications, but you have to be sure you can remove all traces of it...

Take Nitrile gloves to your service appointment for the air bag recall. Take extras, leave them all around the cab. Request that they be used. Apparently Ford techs cannot be bothered to use their own.
Sketch as F, but not a surprise. There is a serious safety problem with this vehicle. I had a bad feeling something like this would be discovered, what with all the other braking issues people are having.
Unreal...
Be sure to report your experience to NHTSA...
Absolutely insane - someone (like a pedestrian in a crosswalk, hopefully not pushing a baby stroller) is going to get hurt.
It is unbelievable that this is even a thing.
Anyone with this issue should report it to NHTSA

You should also document it...
I was not referring to voltage drop, I was referring to the 80% ampacity rule.
That battery may be good for a bit at 265A but you are going to smoke it if you do that continuously on a regular basis especially in that small covered compartment.
If you need 2000W you should be looking at 24V or...
A constant 160A load on that battery along with a constant 160A charge is going to kill it. The heat build up under that cover with such a draw is going to kill it.
LOL - 166 Amps, 208A allowing for NEC overhead. I would plan 220A. I hope your plan is to mount it 2" from the battery and use 3/0 gauge wire.
Also IIRC Ford says not to wire anything to battery ground direct because it will mess with the BMS.
And considering the puny battery in the hybrid...
