We had a roof bag similar in style for a car we used to own that fits perfectly in the Maverick bed. Haven’t taken a long trip to use it yet, but it worked fine strapped to the roof before. Even stayed waterproof in a thunderstorm.
Yeah I’m new to towing too. There’s towing guides online from Ford and other sources, or if you’re a visual learner like myself there are several ‘beginner towing’ guides on youtube.
I'm in the club now too, got hit on the highway this week (never saw it coming, just a big WHACK...thought it came through the windshield for a second).
Not sure what it was but probably driveway gravel off someone's tires (very common around here, this will be the 3rd windshield we've...
Haven't towed anything yet, but if you're okay with a basic galley teardrop I've been looking at the Road Toad for towing with our hybrid. 470 pounds dry, 1,000 gross (max). Composite unibody construction.

Was looking for a towing calculator app, found a free one called GVWR that is pretty simple and easy to use.

That is for Apple, but I would assume they have an android app too.
Only ads I've seen so far are for the programmer's Haul Gauge device.
Installed bed cubbys on both sides in my XL. Went well, but found out that when Ford sprayed the liner they must have taped off the blank covers instead of removing them.
Had the benefit of no liner material in the bolt holes, but as you can see from the photo the lip on the cubby is slightly...
So much for putting chrome rings on my steelies, Ford put the balancing weights on the outer rims. At least they were spray painted the same color as the wheels.
Only had her a couple weeks but so far hauled a few things from Lowe’s.
Mods done so far are the trim piece around the radio knobs and transferring my copilot from previous car.
Last thing is a $5 trunk net from Dollar Tree. Actually works okay side to side but could be a bit deeper. Works...
Most of the time I really don't need more than 50%, 75% is my break in limit for getting on the highway and such. (Not supposed to floor it during break in AIUI)
Really liking the truck so far. Already got some complements on the color. Only had her a week like the title said so this should be a quick review. Actually picked her up the day before Father's Day.
Handling - Still early in the break in period, so trying to drive like a real grandma not the...
Dunno, I think the steelies look fine the way they are. They have that "real truck" look not "show truck" look. But then I grew up looking at 70s-80s trucks that mostly had white painted steelies.
I guess one less expensive alternative might be a set of hubcaps? Some Google work shows some...
Originally it referred to carrying capacity, hence the “Duce and a Half” moniker for 5,000 pound capacity Army trucks. So technically the Mav is a 3/4 ton truck.

First thing they taught us in the Navy was that the ocean may look pretty, but it will kill you as soon as you give it a chance.
