  1. Dealer tried to decline warranty for required repairs.

I think the name of the troublesome dealerships should be mentioned. We have some power with the internet. I have read a lot about something before I buy or not buy and if I do I stay away from problem retailers. We have a recourse that we didn’t have 20-25 years ago. Let’s make it work.
  2. 2022 Maverick 2.OL FWD- reliable or get a newer one??🤔

Had two, no regrets or problems with either one. About 26000 miles on mine , about the same on the one I gave my grandson.
  3. Technology Rant

Auto headlights. My 22 automatically dim below 25 mph and go back to high beam at 30-35 mph. So when I slow down say looking for a driveway and need bright lights they automatically dim, or you slow down around a corner and then you can not see as well, really dumb and unsafe. Anyone else find...
  4. Dumbcomputer's Build

Looks like maybe some air shocks on rear for towing would help.

  6. OTA Updates causing mileage reductions?

We notice a drop every winter when Washington changes to the winter blend, they call it, usually 2-3 mpg. That’s on all my vehicles. Claim it reduces emissions, but, if you’re burning more fuel then those extra gallons are putting out more emissions it seems to me.
  7. Sideswiped a parked car and not even a year old!

If you’re not in a hurry just look around for a good white door and replace it yourself. It might be cheaper than turning it into the insurance.
  8. 22" wheels on Maverick... there's such thing as too BIG

When you trade more wheel for less tire you just get a much harsher ride. No thanks
  9. **New Pics** Dextero 245/65/17 All-Terrain Tires -$110 Each!!

Put a set on my wrangler but haven’t driven it much since. Did the research and reviews were good plus it’s Walmart and always had good luck with any returns/problems. And regardless of where you are at there’s always a store close by. Made by giti a large tire manufacturer around the world with...

Apparently you have not tried it
  11. Default Drive Mode Question

It comes with instructions. Tells you where to hook up power and where to attach into harness, but there’s also a you tube video on line. 15-20 minutes to hook it up and was only about $50. It can also be set for other modes.
  12. Default Drive Mode Question

I’ve had the MyMav device on two mavericks for about three years. Works great and simple to install
  13. Changing driving mode?

MyMav makes a device that sets mine to eco every time I start it, been working great for three years now. Simple to install and was about $50. Also put it on a second Maverick
  14. Mobile 1 synthetic engine oil for 2.0 EcoBoost?

Any oil will work, doesn’t matter. Question is -How long? So just stick with what is recommended
  15. where do you (if you needed to or wanted to) jack the Maverick?

Don’t have a problem with jacking it up but what I did have was the lug wrench bending trying to remove lug nuts. Why are they torqued so tight? A flat along side the road you would not be able to even remove them and even with an aftermarket lug wrench probably most of us would have trouble...
  16. why i did not get to buy my 2025 lariat today in morgan hill calif

Amazing how things have changed. I remember buying a new Toyota pickup in 1981. Bought it in California on a Sunday and drove it home to Washington then went to my credit union gave them the paperwork they mailed the check to the dealer. I put no money down at the dealer and they gave me the...
  17. Deep Sleep and Battery problems are all yours to deal with, once you reach the 3 year Standard Warranty!

Also a battery recall on regular 2.0 turbo. They just replaced the battery on my grandsons 22 2.0 eco boost. He twice had a dead battery and he uses it every day
  18. Deep Sleep and Battery problems are all yours to deal with, once you reach the 3 year Standard Warranty!

I believe if I were in the situation after reading all these posts I would be consulting a lawyer about a class action suit, just a thought
  19. Maverick use in off road conditions

Biggest problem I see is ground clearance. I bought a one year old 22 maverick that was totaled by the insurance. Basically front and rear plastic torn loose and taped on, and all underneath shields ripped off as well as muffler crushed. The guy bought it new, XL , fwd for $29000+. He used it to...
