    Plenty of CAIs out there without heat shields and they do work. I've used them on Mustangs and never had an issue.

    It is free to download, but you need a license to make changes. You can get a temporary license for free. You will also need an OBD adapter to connect your PC to the vehicle.

    I had a 2019 Mustang GT, base model. It only came with normal and Sport modes. Using Forscan I enabled Sport+, Track, Drag Strip, and Snow/Wet. Should be the same for the Maverick. Just need to figure out which values to Change.
