Thanks for letting me know! Also thanks for being my cold weather tester! David
  2. Patching the holes at the bottom of my tailgate

Thank you! The cold should not bother it unless the Cover itself is really cold during install. Even then I dont think so. Being in Texas, I unfortunately dont have a lot of cold weather testing for it. :) If you do have any issues with it please let me know. David

Yes. Richard warned me. I didn't listen. A few hundred negative dollars later...... Shipping has been an experience, to say the least. BTW Happy New Year! Another day closer to the Mav!

  7. Patching the holes at the bottom of my tailgate

I sent you a PM. You are not the first to say you are unable to order. I think the Square Site I use has issues. You can always just send a message to @P99Guy Thanks!
  8. Patching the holes at the bottom of my tailgate

I do appreciate your concern and I stand behind the Cover should you have any issues with it. Granted this summer was not as hot here in Texas as it usually is, but the PETG that I use for Printing held up fine. The minimum melting point on it is about 350 degrees when printing, so I am hoping...

  10. 3D Printed Tailgate Hole Caps

Thanks for watching the Forum! Since you have an inside to Ford can you get a Designer/Engineer to explain the need/pupose of the 2 large holes in the bottom of the tailgate? My vote is manufacturing. Thanks!
  11. 3D Printed Tailgate Hole Caps

Tom, Boy I wish I made a buck on these! If you take my time and effort to supply these I am paying everyone to take one. They are only available on this forum, are not posted on a for sale page anywhere and you have to wade through 16 pages to even find my ordering url. Have you seen any of...
  12. 3D Printed Tailgate Hole Caps

I don't think anyone has asked. I am pretty sure it will be the same. Several of my last orders were for 2024's and I have not heard of any issues. They may not have their Mavs yet tough. I am happy to resolve the issue if you want to order 1 and it does not fit. Thanks! David @P99Guy
  13. 3D Printed Tailgate Hole Caps

I may give ASA a try but I have heard so many horror stories about ASA and ABS. My work office is really small and my air-filters only do so much..... Just FYI I print these at 250mm/s so not too slow. 260C with a bed of 60C, no part cooling. You are 200% correct on layer adhesion. It took a...
  14. 3D Printed Tailgate Hole Caps

Welcome to the world of 3D Printing! Yes it will take on the texture of the build plate so you got the texture of the masking tape. I choose my plates based on what I need the surface to look like. I just mention the PEI plates because they work so well. I bought my first printer only 6...
  15. 3D Printed Tailgate Hole Caps

Anyone following this thread that did not receive a cover you ordered or if the cover was damaged in any way please start a conversation with me and I will get the issue resolved. thanks! david @P99Guy
  16. 3D Printed Tailgate Hole Caps

PETG is the best filament for this project. nylon is too stiff. Pla will not do well in the heat. Unless you really thicken it tpu is too soft. Asa/abs might be good but I have not tried them due to the odor they produce when printing. also masking tape helps but I can recommend a textured PEI...
