Yes! Very worth the modest price. If I'm opening my tailgate, I already have at least one hand full. Before installing, having that tailgate slam down was obnoxious (to me). Plus, you have to make sure no little kids are around, if you don't have a hand available to guide it down! Good luck

I agree with Bill K. Even to the OP, hopefully when everything is repaired you can enjoy your Maverick. I have almost 2k miles and I love it. I have also had zero problems, so I realize that is much easier for me to say. Average 51+ mpg. And I get to move furniture without asking for help...
