Another follow up from the dealership and the replaced sensor did NOT fix the problem ... so the engineer is digging back into it bc they have no idea what's actually causing the error now. Back to square one.
So the dealership followed up with me yesterday and it was a speed sensor failure. I guess if a sensor goes out and the trans can't tell what the wheels are doing it completely disables itself to avoid any driveline damage. I was told it's under warranty and should be fixed early next week...
Transmission completely went out on me yesterday on the drive home. 7400 miles, and I drive it very gently. One loud clunk and that was it, trans completely disengaged, and I got an array of AWD failure warnings. Luckily was able to coast to a nearby parking lot and out of the road, but...
You know it wasn't a huge difference when I started up this am, but it was quieter than previously without the cover. Not enough difference where I'd say buy if you're only looking for sound deadening though. I wanted more aesthetics, which this definitely is. If you're looking for sound...
You know, I didn't notice much of a difference yet ... but it's also midday and warmer, most of those noises I hear first thing in the morning when it's cold. I'll give it a listen tomorrow am and let you know.
I can't imagine it making a HUGE difference, for me it was more the aesthetic of...
I've had the truck since October and have slowly been plugging away at small things to make it exactly what I want. Just finished up installing an engine cover (was the Lincoln one, but solved that with a $5 logo from Amazon), and the Buschur's intake. Love the new intake and can hear the...
So over the stock height of the Tremor is this an additional 1.5"? Or is that 1.5 over the stock Maverick? I did a 1.75" leveling kit on mine, but yours looks more than .5 higher than mine, maybe it's my wheels/tires?
So they are exactly at 1.75" (which I thought might be a bit much initially - but it equates to perfectly level on a Tremor) A Tremor has slightly less rake already than a standard Maverick - from all research I've been able to find , so the 1.75" is spot on for a leveled Tremor.
And no...
Me too! Changes the angle at which stuff hits it and kicks a TON more up and over the windshield. it also doesn't stick to the hood via 3M tape, it clips around the hood which I thought was more appropriate. Definitely happy with it. Here's the Amazon link for ya!

You know I actually chose not to install that part. I had it on there for about a half hour, and the drivers seat & console, when both have the covers on them, touch. So you could hear a faint rubbing/squeaking from them moving against each other. So I took it back off and am going without...
Finally pulled the trigger and got the leveling kit from fordrangerlifts.com
Went on easily, and makes the truck sit a whole lot better in my opinion. Re-aligned right there as soon as it went on. No change in road noise/driving/comfort. Very quality parts (all steel) and was the perfect...
They definitely look the part. If you don't tell them, most people think they're leather. A bit softer to the touch than leather though. Hopefully the PU holds up :) And yes, there is a zippered slot with velcro that opens so you can fold out the arm rest - not individually covered itself...
My thinking as well - the XLT had everything I needed, I thought at some point I might go with a Katzkin interior, then I saw these. I can replace these several times over for the cost of a Katzkin or the upgrade to the Lariat.
Picked up the Mabett covers from Amazon this week and was genuinely impressed at not only how easy there were to install, but how great they look in the truck.
Installation took about 1.5 hrs and there were zero hold ups. I think the color matches the slightly darker Tremor interior perfectly...
