I found a Ford memo explaining price protection and forwarded it to my sales rep. There is no way the sales managers didn't know this. Price protection has nothing to do with the private offer. They are 2 different things.
I went in to purchase this morning. They didn't have anything done. No private offer. Nothing. A sales manager got involved who appears to be helping. So now they are going to add my daughter to the order and we've got the private offer sorted.
One hang up that I can't seem to get them to...
They want me to walk away from it so they can sell it off the lot for $5K+ more. They have no incentive to help me if they don't care about me as a long term customer. I have a long memory with this sort of thing. I'm a Honda guy and I won't buy anything from Coggin Honda even though they...
The rep said that if they add her as co buyer my price goes up to the new MSRP which is a little less than $500 more than when we originally placed the 2024 carryover order. That’s not an exception. Thanks for all advice folks. Very frustrating experience with this dealership!
my Sales Guy says the general Manager won’t even reach out to Ford and ask. He asked and the GM said no. He simply said he won’t do it and they want to raise the price by ~$450 to add her name.
Any ideas on what recourse I have?
I think somebody in the Destin Amazon warehouse got a new Maverick. My mud flaps got marked delayed then damaged in Destin so had to order new ones. Now the fender flares ordered Friday are delayed in Destin. I can't easily re-order those. Hopefully it truly is just a delay.
I'm probably getting a hard tri-fold off ebay. Aluminum is currently ~$335. FRP is closer to $360. Is FRP really better? They look the same. The aluminum sellers actually have slightly better reviews. Truck will be in Texas so hail is gonna happen. Thanks!
And they will do it right.
My daughter and SIL own Honda Civics with the same crappy OEM Firestones. They would get constant low tire pressure warnings, but the pressure was fine. As soon as she switched over to Michelins, the phantom low pressure warnings stopped.
My XL Hybrid went from in-production to shipped in roughly 3 days about a week ago. It is the only thing that has gone smoothly with this order. I hope yours goes as quickly!
So it is no big deal to add her name to the 24 order even though she wasn't on the original 23 order? I won't lose price protection because the orders don't match exactly? If so, that would be great!
Thanks!
My dealer put the 23 order as the buyer being me only at my daughter's address in Texas. I'm in Florida. It was supposed to be me and my daughter on the order at the address in Texas. The 24 order matches the 23 order to preserve PP. I figured I'd just deal with it afterwards, but I've since...
I'm looking for a set for a Maverick Hybrid too. I've put Weathertecs in my CR-V and didn't think coverage was as good as could be. Also they are difficult to clean and tend to look dull afterwards. I put Husky liners in a Civic and liked those. They clean up easy and had great coverage...
Been waiting 1 1/2 years since my original order. I know some have been waiting longer though. It's a pretty basic XL Hybrid with CoPilot and a hitch. Now my dilemma is that it's for my daughter. It was supposed to have her name and my name on it and titled in TX, but the dealership screwed...
My sales guy is telling me it should be here sometime after the 15th. I'll be real happy with that. Went into production on the 29th and shipped yesterday. Can't complain about that at least.
Did the dealer indicate if they had enough allocations to likely be able to fulfill your order? Mine confirmed they had the allocations and my Hybrid XL was just built (23 carryover re-ordered last July and scheduled to build on 1/29). I'm now hoping for quick shipping.
