    Well, it's an old post... But just now landed on my screen. In any event: The $599 is basically a $600 rip-off ADM out of your pocket [above MSRP]. Locally [Tampa area] the Ford sales team [all of them] would agree to order a Maverick for MSRP. However if questioned about additional costs...

    Agreed. Oil pressure goes UP when you floor it... And "flooring it" is a normal function in instances such as passing.
