I have a 2024 XLT Hybrid for 23.5 months now. The rear camera has only froze once in all that time. On a trip in Cape Breton Nova Scotia. It reset itself fifteen minutes later or so. So not a big concern. Hopefully fixed sometime in 2025. Or give me a Sync 4 system.....
Fredericton NB 2022 XLT Hybrid. Maybe first one in town. Currently heading for 40,000 kms. Recorded 5.65 l/100kms while touring around Cape Breton Nova Scotia
What I did was to take an old computer power cord which was somewhat thin and cut and shortened it and put a new end on it. Think enough to run out under the hood fully closed to plug into a cord.
My TPMS reads a bit high. I set with a gauge and ignore the TPMS readings. The Maverick does not complain about it and the mileage is very good. Have a set in my four winter wheels also. There more for leaks.
I agree with you. All season tires are only good for three seasons. No grip for when it is cold and there is ice and snow. I put my Blizzaks on FX4 rims.
This Fall I plan to swap out the original 12 volt battery from my 2022 with a Diehard H5 AGM battery. I mostly ignore the Deep Sleep messages. Truck starts regardless.
I run the Infocar app with a obd device. It will show the hybrid percent charge. When you step on it whether the ice is running or not, I see the hybrid charge drop a lot as the electric motor aids the acceleration of the Maverick.
Not at all. Winters are getting milder here in Maritime Canada and New England States. So with winter tires winter has been no problem. Love the mileage of the hybrid and running on electric. Little need to haul a trailer.
