About 8000 Mavericks will be recalled for surge issue from BCM. May affect tailights. Supposed software update is coming some year if lucky. Well, if this involves my truck, I'll now have 3 pending recalls on an 8 month old vehicle. Ford builds are crap. I like the idea of this truck and nothing...
We keep parsing words here. It is a drain from the modules. Do you work for Ford. You keep defending them and giving alternate battery survival techniques. That's fine for an interim fix but not a solution to abate, mask or cure the problem. Well I'm done on this issue and making people aware...
All that he said is true. But and a Big but, there is more to this constant sleep mode having to do with a intermittent parasitic voltage draw as stated in the SSM. Toyota and Honda Hybrids have never had this problem. Prius has been around for years. If you need to drive a car around to charge...
Has anyone tried installing a keyed or combination lock on the storage cubby. I've looked at a bunch online that look like they would work.
Just checking to see if someone has done this yet to save me the trouble of trial and error. Stupid that it doesn't lock.
Did they fix the reverse camera freezing. The new 2024 XLT models can't be sold by dealers until recall / safety issue is fixed.
Was the issue of Hybrid killing the 12 volt battery fixed. Another recall not fixe yet for all model years. My first battery is just about dead
I'll be on my second...
I forgot to mention something. By bringing vehicles in and getting dealerships to test and report issues to engineering, is how a proper diagnosis and repair gets done. Info to create a recall or class action suit to force a fix.
I get it we don't have time or don't want to deal with an issue.
My state has a lemon law for new vehicles. If you take in to be fixed multiple times WHILE UNDER WARRANTY and the issue cannot be corrected. The dealer must buy it back or trade for the same newest model.
Without going in to my...
Ok- The dealership service department and mechanics who work on them don't know what there talking about!
Yes there are people experiencing dead AGM batteries on this site.
This issue is an intermittent parasitic draw. I have been trying to give people the correct information. Why is it so...
Wrong- Interior lights are so you can see when you get in your truck. That is not how it was designed. You are in Low Battery Saver mode Get the app if you don't have and it will notify you of this. To each his own on acceptance of poor design and dealing with it. Eventually battery will die...
Not true on your assessment of the cause of Battery issue. Go to dealership and talk to them. People keep buying AGM batteries and guessing what the problem is. There is a recall coming.
SSM - ( Special Service Message ) #53087. " Engineering currently working on a fix for an intermittent...
Thanks for coming forward. It's becoming really obvious that Ford has a problem with their Hybrid system. If you don't use the app you would have no way of knowing you have any issue until the battery dies. I have been taking screenshots of the battery messages because they seem to disappear...
I'm glad to see that this forum is getting the word out and affecting new sales. You can see by my posts how angered I am at Ford's lack of caring about quality control and follow thru. Fords focus is on add ons to mark up prices for profit. They have the most recalls right now. I was very...
GOOD GOD ANOTHER POST ABOUT BATTERY ISSUE. THATS OK, WHAT'S WORSE IS MORE DIY BAD ADVICE WASTING TIME AND OR BUYING A BATTERY ON YOUR ON DIME! LET IT DIE, KEEP BRINGING INTO THE DEALER OR BE SILENT, WHINE AND DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCE OF SLOW OR NO ACTION. SORRY IF I SEEM ANGRY BUT WHY PUT UP...
Where did you get the info regarding batteries. I have a 2024 Hybrid and you are wrong about the battery.
Ford has the only Hybrid that can't keep it's battery charged. Awesome, American cars are all about profit and mark ups. To hell with reliability!
It Is a Ford specific solution for the hybrid issue of excess condensation build up within the motor and exhaust. Like I said earlier, due to it not reaching full operating temp and naturally creating heat to evaporate said condensation. But thanks for your added metallurgy knowledge.
