With digital dash boards you should have the ability to customize how much info you want to see, how you see it and what it looks like…bring it on. Thats what so nice about Torq app
Yep I have already had the block heater leak fixed and the shutter/engine shield modifications done but I park my hybrid in the garage and am wondering if that is a good thing to do….the thing clicks and clacks for 15 minutes after you shut if off….electrical sounds
I remember reading something about possible electric fires on hybrids and not to park them in a garage, has there been any updates to this? Can some one direct me to the actual Ford publication?
thanks in advance
160k km so 100k miles on a 2011 F-150 3.5 V-6. No engine problems other than changing out spark plugs as recommended and changing a set of coils (6). I ran synthetic oil the whole time due to turbo heat. This is the 1st gen Eco plus a ran a 5Start engine tune so it wasn’t...
You never will get any details directly from Ford Canada…it goes to the dealership/sales person and it is up to them to keep you informed….or not…..I personally called my salesman bi weekly asking if he had any updates, on occasion I got news but only after I asked
Im not going to do it….much greater chances of totalling the vehicle off in a minor fender bender (due to parts availability) than to having a catastrophic engine failure….Im struggling to achieve the sticker EPA mileage and now they want to increase drag and resistance? Not gonna happen…
Can I do this? My chances of this happening are soooo slim and even if this modification is made, there is no guarantees that you will not still have a engine fire (which in the case of a new car you hope that whole damn thing goes up in smoke ) I can live with a hole in the aero panel under...
so my asumption is that it was leaking around the threads? If this is so, removing it applying teflon tape or thread dope should be considered a permanent fix? I would like Ford to try a leak sealant before they start removing the exhaust manifold
Mine is leaking as I posted above….given the enormity of this job would you not think that trying a leak stop additive would be the first thing tried? Once you loosen one bolt on a engine that you accepted as 100% you have introduced a future potential problem…if it ain’t broke don’t fix it
