I don’t think the heat is going to damage your paint. Most hood insulation is done to reduce noise. The only drawback I’ve seen is that sometimes the insulation droops and sags making contact with a hot engine.
Nobody said the cost would be the same. I said service of an engine and other system checks. Regardless how much the brakes get used, you still have to service the engine at regular intervals. Getting a hybrid doesn’t mean less moving parts/systems to go wrong. Because you have 2 systems sharing...
That’s not really true for hybrids since they still have an engine. That’s definitely true for strictly electric vehicles. If anything, the service will be the same, or more involved since there is more than one system to inspect, and in the 2.0 case service.
The Maverick is just my place holder until the Bronco gets here. Since that could be over a year from now, couldn’t wait. I’m just hoping that the used car market is as hot when the bronco is ready. Because I will be trading the Maverick in.
Same boat here. The corners is where it’s at. Suspension, brakes, wheel/tires should be chosen accordingly. As far as the lift issue, I’d like to see someone pull off a functional spoiler designed into a smooth tonneau cover. It may be close to 40k by the time I’m done, but an ST Maverick would...
