One symptom I forgot to mention:
With the LEDs installed and parking lights on, occasionally I could see the RH bulb slightly flicker. I've noticed this even in my car's reflection of a chrome bumper when sitting at a stop light. The bulb doesn't always flicker. I was able to capture one small...
Ah! I'll read through that. Thanks for the link.
So - my hazard issue may be only due to LEDs. It wouldn't explain the RH light intermittently failing when it had the incandescent bulb in it.
So anyone with LASFITs can't use their hazard lights for an extended period of time? I feel like there should have been a well advertised disclaimer for this. @LASFIT
Since day one, I've been battling an intermittent electrical issue with the parking lights on my Maverick.
The day I brought it home, I noticed that the passenger side amber wasn't light when I opened the door. I R&I'd the bulb to check the filament (looked OK) and it started working again...
Has anyone noticed that the autolamp (automatic headlights) sensitivity is pretty low? I do a lot of driving right after sunrise and need to manually turn my headlights on as the autolamps do not activate. Looking around, 90%+ of the other cars have their headlights on during this time...
The felt helped substantially. I could still hear the occasional flutter slap, but it wasn't persistent.
I'm debating modify the plastic clips with a die-grinder to ensure they aren't interfering with the tensioning mechanism. There's no going back if I do that - so I want to make sure that's...
Unfortunately, I ordered the cover before I got the truck and I'm outside of the return window.
I learned that the piece of edge trim that the front cross-bar clip interferes with is glued onto the DIBL and can't be removed. The alternative would be modifying the plastic clip with a die grinder...
And you have the lariat lux (I assume SIBL). So maybe this isn't an issue of the DIBL but just it's compatibility with the Maverick (or just a bad cover design?).
The X15 otherwise has really good reviews.
I've pull it taught from the sides as well. When I'm stationary, the cover looks taught and smooth with no wrinkles. I also have moderate resistance when closing the cover - similar to other's I've used.
I've never noted how much they move in the past and now I sit too low to see how other...
I have the DIBL that was included with the XLT Lux and purchased a TruXedo Pro X15 Tonneau to install myself. @Realtruck
Installation wasn't terrible, but even after adjusting the "self tensioning" part of the cover, it flutters around like mad at 70mph. You can hear the cover slapping the two...
AWD Eco w/ 4k.
I was towing a utility trailer full of soil (probably 2500lb total weight) up a fairly steep incline to get to my dump site. Imagine a steep yard hill. I just kept it in tow/haul mode for this, but it still needed to downshift twice during the climb. Travel speed was about 10mph...
That's essentially the message I got as well. I'm just surprised nowhere in the order or delivery of the vehicle a "rebate check" was mentioned. At this point, I'll just go with the flow.
You don't need an attorney to understand a contract. Just read it yourself. The clause I mentioned is...
I confirmed that the truck was not ordered/submitted as x-plan. They claim it was not because they didn't have exact x-plan pricing at that time.
Therefore, I must purchase the vehicle at the full price - to which Ford or the Dealer (unclear who) will reimburse me the difference after 60 days...
I called Ford Financing this morning. I was able to get some information, but since the funding dept was closed, not everything was clarified.
What I understand so far:
-The vehicle wasn't sold listed as x-plan.
-The amount of the loan on my paperwork and their paperwork match
-the price of the...
