I followed creases where I could. Funny that Ford fender and doors don't follow each other. I had to follow the dip on the doors. Made the most sense. At first I took the line on the front fenders all the way around the hood. Didn't like that so put end on each side and did the inner lines...
The Gator tri-fold soft cover will fold up on top of the first fold leave 2/3rds exposed. Two straps are there to tie it down if you want to drive with it open, I have a rug mat and once folded up, I can lay on my back and undue the wing nuts on the front section and in less than 5 minutes...
I only went by the color they said it was. It did not look like much differences on their screen showing the different colors. Not sure how grey it will look when you get it.
I have no idea why I was lucky but after thinking about it and reading through this thread I was lucky. Lucky that my small town (15k people) had 1 Ford dealer and a salesman who only did order no floor sales. He was honest and knew he had allocations and knew how to do his job.

Yes, Ford gave us all cheap :poop: but also gave us a 4 door truck with fantastic MPG at 20K. If you got a Lariat do you thing it's basic design is any better built, I think not.
If the drive train/electronics lasts. That's all I need. Yes there will be scratches in my cheap plastic...
I'm not a Hypermiler . Owned a Volt for 3 years and on 2nd Prius. I could be if I choose to. I simply think the cruise control is easier on the gas peddle than I am. If I get 39.1 or 44.5 I'm good with that. Slowing down in CA can be life threatening. NY, I don't know
But I agree, lot of...
I did not have a truck but wanted one. Once I heard about a Maverick, I bought the hybrid because gas mileage was important. Price of truck was too. I would have gotten the XL but wanted cruise and power mirrors. I had a Chevy Volt so on long trips gas mileage was about the same. Around town...
Easiest next version would be like Prius to a Prius Prime. A plug in Hybrid Maverick should be easy for Ford to make. FWD or All wheel drive. This year looks like gas will be getting expensive real soon and stay that way for a while.
my 2 cents since I have a soft tri fold cover but park in my own garage every night but do worry about someone cutting the cover to get in the back empty or otherwise. Price was right.
If an open apartment garage is where others park, yes, you need a hard cover.
Watertight and budget will...
