From your last picture, you can see that it is definitely broken, The male tabs that hold the sliding knob on are half in the knob and can see where they are broken off inside the sliding track. It could have been accidentally/unknowingly hit by a knee or other object while getting in or out...
The LED strip in the Lariat lights is part of the DRL system. On many vehicles, including my E450 motor home chassis, the DRLs were not illuminated until the engine was running, transmission OUT of park and the parking brake released.

'Something's wrong with your grass' That's just the grass protector we will have until end of MAR or April. Sort of makes me glad that I haven't got a VIN yet for my hybrid XLT lux. my22 opps my23, the snow should be gone by the time I get the truck.
On a side note, the news...
Somewhere in your Maverick, there should be the adaptor wiring, it's just the mating plug with wires attached. Someone on this forum did post a picture of the package with the Ford part number.

The owners manual. It does have instructions on how to put it into a temporary neutral mode for car washes, manually pushing car etc. and directions for returning to normal operation. Page 183 of manual.
They also give directions for the neutral tow mode for towing behind an RV, hybrid eCVT...

Yes, they use a lot...
I don't have my Maverick yet, so I'm not aware of the warning method. BUT if it saves just one life, I will be willing to put up with any type of alarm/warning. I'm aware of two instances this summer where infant/toddler were accidentally left in the vehicle for the day. Parent that doesn't...
I'm also thinking of that combination. I did see it in person, although through in a new sold MavericK XLT on my dealers lot. There is a slight difference in the shade of the colours, but that is probably because of the difference in texture between the leather and the Ford cloth. The...
