I agree with you on this. I go to 4000 miles myself. At 3 to 4000 miles you can really smell fuel in the oil in the ecoboost engine oil. I don't trust diluted oil. I am happy to spend a little extra time and money to keep fresh Restore and Protect Valvoline in there.
I have had zero issues with my 24 XLT ecoboost other than 2 software recalls. Oh and the occasional dash squeak. I haven't got around to doing the fix on that. I just turn up my music 😀
I.C.E. only for me. By the time they get a solid state battery that can go 400 miles in sub 20 f degrees and recharge in 5 minutes or less, I probably won't be around anymore. 😉
BTW - Those are my personal parameters for switching from ICE to electric, but is probably pretty close to what a lot...
Just changed mine today at 2600 miles. The first time I changed it was 600 miles. So I had about 2000miles on the oil. I wasn't too dirty but definitely some fuel smell. There has to be some dilution going on. I changed it early so that I could start using Valvoline Restore and Protect. With...
UPR products. Their hoses have easy connect fittings. They are pretty much plug and play.

They have a youtube video to explain the install.
I have had my 2024 close to a year now. It is an XLT with luxury and black package. I really like and enjoy the truck. But as with most vehicles there always seems to be one item that bugs the heck out of you.
My one item: I can't believe Ford didn't put power windows with one-touch up. Ughh...
This is the first vehicle that I have ever put a catch can on. I checked it back in October and it had maybe a half teaspoon of oil/fluid in it. I didn't do anything with it. After all of the really cold weather that we have had this winter, I decided to check both of the cans. The dirty...
It seems all car manufacturers are having a lot of recalls. Some of these are complete engine replacements. My personal thoughts are that a couple of items are causing this. These are just my opinions.
1. When you put out bids to outside vendors and go with the least expensive, it is highly...
Put it in sport mode and it will hold the lower gears longer or not upshift all the way until you get to higher speeds. I can't say what it will do to your gas mileage though.
This fits well and covers the gap where road crud would accumulate. It just took me a while to get it all oriented. Once I figured that out it was pretty easy to install. I highly recommend some locktite when installing, especially on the one big frame bolt you have to remove and put back in.
I just noticed that I received update to my Fordpass app. It now has the option for user created maintenance records and Ford chat. I think both of these used to be here but disappeared for a while. I was able to add notes to my last maintenance record that I created from the website.
I have heard it. But, I have also been driving, riding and working on cars and motorcycles for nearly 50 years. I can tell when an engine is running better. I am one of the first to tell people that if it says that a vehicle will run on 87 octane, don't waste your money on higher octane.
But...
One other thing to consider with using higher octane fuels. Many name brands, Shell, BP, Amoco put more detergents in the higher octane. The additional detergents help keep injectors and combustion area cleaner, less carbon. I have tried all 3 levels of octane. I get a little better performance...
I was just looking at that gap the other day when topping off the air in the tires. I don't want salt getting up in there. This looks like a perfect solution. I just ordered one. I did have to open another tab first and logon to Amazon. Then I copied and pasted the link. Amazon calculated...
