  1. Happy One Year Anniversary!

My local gas station had this message on their board today, conveniently on the same week our truck turned one year old.
  2. As the issues list grows......concerned...kind of

Interesting! I've noticed both of these as well. The front end thing only happens when backing down out of my driveway, and even then only at certain steering wheel angles.
  3. Finally found a use for the door pocket

That's about all that will fit.
  4. Beware: Heat Exchanger not covered under warranty

I took my truck in for the airbag recall last week and also noted yellow coolant all over the outside of the muffler and on my garage floor from a cold snap we had in December.....clearly related to the battery heat exch. Tech noted that this was considered "normal."
  5. Engine light turned on at 14,600 Miles, Transmission issue?

Are they updating your airbag as well? Your truck's build date is around the same as mine, and my dealer is doing the airbag next week.
  6. Ford ESP Plans comparison in easy to read format (attached here)

Why don't any of these plans call out coverage of the electric parking brake motors? That was an expensive repair on one of our past vehicles.
  7. TPMS sensors are model year specific?

I don't know why Ford is still using TPMS sensors. The wheel speed sensor easily allows the computer to figure out when a tire is going flat. My 2017 GTI did that passively.
  8. Which line to tap for catch can install on the Hybrid engine?

The Hybrid has a port injected engine. Fuel mist is constantly washing the intake valves when the engine is running.
  9. Kept for heat exchanger?

Wow. I noticed a bunch of junk dripping on the floor of my garage when we had super cold weather a few weeks ago.....thought it was rusty water coming off the exhaust. Looks like I need to go in to check the heat exch.
  10. TSB 22-2493 issued for 2.5L Hybrid Maverick grabby brakes (at or below 6.2 MPH)

My dealer said the same thing when I was in there on December 13th.
  11. 12,000 miles in six months!

Just a poor quality one. Looks like the rest of the HPR XLT's. :)
  12. 12,000 miles in six months!

The dash is usually 5% high.
  13. 12,000 miles in six months!

Never thought two retirees would use a truck so much. Just got home last night from Phoenix after a 3500-mile road trip, and my wife said, "this truck is perfect." Well, not exactly. Has the special Hybrid low speed braking weirdness, the edge of the windshield on the passenger side is...
  14. Option regrets?

Sliding rear window. My dealer suggested it, but I didn't think I'd need it. For $150-ish, its a cheap option.
  15. 🙋‍♂️ What did you do TO / WITH your Maverick today?

Had a neighbor help me with a tire rotation. What a shit show. :)
  16. Wait for Maverick or Get a Used CPO VW Tiguan

We've owned a number of VW's over the last 15 years and had really good experiences. Our Mexican-built GTI and Golf Sportwagen TDI were flawless and easily matched the German-built GTI and Passat wagon. If VW still offered a Passat wagon in the US, we would own one, as that size was perfect...
  17. How to apply X plan?

We ordered the truck in July 2021, but I didn't get the X-Plan Friends and Neighbors PIN from my buddy until well after Labor Day. I created the online account, filled out the paperwork with the necessary info, and let my salesman know. The deal on the Mav might have been a couple hundred $$...
  18. *******HYBRID DEAD BATTERY REPAIR- CABLE LUG REPLACEMENT**********

Its interesting that such a large cable is grounded only thru the threads of the attachment screw. That plated lug is touching on paint, and not conducting anything to the body.....the energy is going thru the screw head and threads to the connection point, and that is barely any surface area...
