I tried when my dealer tried to markup my order after the fact. Ford corp said there is no way you can move orders once they are orders. You can move reservations but once it’s an order you can’t move it.
I got a hold of Mike Levine on Twitter. He DM’ed me, gave him my details. And within a hour he said the Owner of the dealership would be calling me to honor MSRP. It was the best experience I have had so far. Lol
Don’t worry, ur priority won’t really matter much on the National scheduling level. And if they put in all orders at 19(most do all the same) then it doesn’t matter at all.
True, but I don’t think adding 48% to the price is ok in any case. I think that is not supply and demand it is greed and care more about dealer profits then customer satisfaction. My dealer marked up a stock XL $10k. That is not ok
Shareholders care because earning were over $350M lower than projected directly impacting them. And they therefore care about his mitigation plan to insure the bleeding stops and there is a recovery in the future... Shareholders also want Ford to be favorably viewed by consumers, not pissed...
this has been a widespread problem with only hybrids, remote start in cold confidtions. Many people have all had this happen so I don’t think it’s just break in. The engine also revs up and down during the process.
Ford CS can’t really tell you much. They don’t know how it all works behind the scenes. So don’t listen to them. Just wait for marketing to call you so you can get a real answer.
go watch long Mcarther maverick videos. He has one on the ROVP system. The first step is you get confirmed and the email. The second step is the dealer has to get it approved in the ROVP. So ur order will still be in the system but if not approved it will sit unscheduled for the model year.
but how do you actually know that for sure?! It seems each dealership does their own thing. Just cause they say ur rate will go up if you wait sounds like a way to get you to sign on the spot.
I had a successful convo with Mr Levine. I did post on his Twitter and he got back to me. But that was about a dealer markup of my custom order not ROVP ordering. I don’t think there is anything they can do about that. But worth a try.
