I don't have an option on octane as all local gas stations carry non ethanol at 91octane so I don't know what it would do with 93 octane. Mine replaced a Dodge Dakota 5 speed with a 5.2 Liter which got 14.5 MPG. Its fantastic to cut my gas bill almost exactly in half!
2023 XLT Tremor--10700 miles 29.4 since new using 91 octane ethanal free mostly rural 2 lane driving very limited city driving. I've found it does around 28MPG in cold weather and 30 plus in warm/hot weather. Probably do a little better if I didn't always seem to be in a hurrry!
2023 Tremor XLT with 10,500 miles. Use 92 octane lead free mostly 2 lane rural roads and I'm at 29.3 since new. Gets around 28+ in cold weather and 30-31 in warm weather. I'd probably do a little better if I wasn't always in a hurry to get where I'm going or back home!
I'm sure it varies with dealers but I've bought the last 3 Ford Trucks from a large dealer that carries a big inventory and deals in volumn and have had all of them serviced at a local small town dealer that has an excellent service department. They are glad to have the business and the service...
Don't know where you are located but local dealer Don Vance Ford in Marshfield MO where I bought mine is offering various models for about $4k off MSRP.
I like it but don't think it would help in a collision with a deer as it just isn't high enough to protect the grill. Thats my major reason for wanting to install a brush guard-I've had one on every truck I've owned over the years as I live in deer hell and its not a question of if but WHEN you...
I've got just a little less than 9K miles on my Tremor and its doing right around 30MPG mostly rural 2 lane roads. Its at 28.6 from day one 2 1/2 years ago with includes some crappy weather and some idle time sitting waiting for whatever.
I've had my XLT Tremor for 2 1/2 years and always use non ethanol 91 octane. I'd probably try 87 octane if it was non ethanol which is not available locally but mine can sit for a couple weeks and I have a hang up on using ethanol gas. I have 8500 miles on it and it has gotten 28.5 MPG...
I've always used 91 octane ethanol free. I usually get around 30 +- when I fill up as the 28.6 includes everything since day one. It does a little worse in cold weather but the worst fill up was around 25 when I had sat at idle for about an hour waiting for the cops to show up at an accident...
I have had a Tremor XLT since Dec 22 and wouldn't trade it for any other model. I have 8k miles on it-mostly local rural 2 lane roads-and my mileage since new is 28.6. I probably drive a little faster than I should but I don't do off roading and only tow an ATV ocassionally but have a 1/2 mile...
I've had my Tremor since Jan 23 and for 2 1/2 years have had no paint issues. Mine is garaged and I've put a couple coats of wax on it but in my opinion there isn't any noticable difference in the quality of paint between the Maverick and all the other Ford trucks I've owned over the years.
Has anyone in the forum installed a black horse brush guard? It looks like what I've been waiting 2 years for but I can't find out if it fits the Tremor configuration and how difficult it is to install.
Been a USAA member for 60 plus years. Signed up for the safe pilot program when it first came out and its a good deal as long as you don't use your phone. For us older members USAA can't be beat as the SSA and profit sharing annual dividend almost cuts your insurance cost in half. Not aware...
In the early days of synthetic I used Mobil 1--Amsoil came along and my son is hooked and insists we use Amsoil. Not sure brand is that important but regular oil/filter changes with modern turbo engines is critical and I do it at 3,000 miles whether it needs it or not!
