I'm running 265-35-22. Only barely rub once in a great while when making a tight U-turn maybe 2 or 3 times. I wouldn't go with a 40. I'm on Eibach springs
Mine is clunky when coming to a stop when transitioning from gas to electric. Doesn't always do it but does it periodically throughout the day. And usually always does it the first couple stops for first drive in the morning.
We need to get a group to meet down at South o.c. cars and coffee in San Clemente at the outlet. It's every sat from 9 -11. I would meet you down there. I have alot of car friends that go all the time.
I have almost same issue. This is what I've noticed. When slowing down once I get to about 5-10 miles and hour usually. Same thing truck starts clunking to a stop. Seems to be when the gas motor is sutting off. Sometimes when slowing down at 30-40 truck feels like the regenerative braking...
I've noticed the same thing. Hope somebody does plan a meet up. I'm in M.V. area. There is a weekly cars and coffee in San Clemente at the outlet mall every Saturday. Think it would be a good place to have a Maverick meet.
Nice truck by the way!
Take my advise. Use a professional. I am a dent guy. Glue pulling doesn't work well on aluminum. And though it looks easy enough. As you will find out it isn't. And after you mess it up we can't fix it properly. $50-$100 is a good price. Out here in CA. I charge $150-$175 for that size dent.
That truck might be on coilovers. If you go with just springs ( I recommend Eibach) the ride difference was minimal. Alot of my friends actually said it rides better.
