The closer, the more MPG savings, but also the more dangerous it gets. You'll have to find the balance of distance and drag reduction you feel is safe. You can also see fuel economy in realtime, so you can decide whether it's worth it at any given time.
It can actually hurt fuel economy if the...
Got some crazy numbers going to work today. 48.5 MPG over 52 miles on mostly highway.
Let's see if anyone can beat that.
A few things that increase MPGs:
I used slippery mode, not eco. This makes it a lot easier to coast and avoid losing momentum to regen. Regen is great if you need to stop...
It's there. Try this: Hold down the brake (Auto hold is fine), switch from Park to Drive. Now switch back to park. Notice a quiet engine-like noise that goes away once you hit park? I'm pretty sure that's the fake engine noise. Everything else is probably the actual electric motor.
20 mph average is about what you'd get you're going 30 but making stops. But yeah, not something you'd want to do long term if your commute is any longer than 4 miles or if you have cars behind you. I like going 80 mph on the freeway after all, and wouldn't give that up.
I'll start this thread with a score of 62 MPG over 6.1 miles with an average speed of 18.3 MPH. (Over 2 consecutive trips)
I got this number by sticking to L gear on Eco mode when driving through a small town. L gear maximizes regenerative braking, and can be helpful for MPGs at low speeds...
I had the same thing happen to me. Turns out, I didn't push the orange things on the connectors in properly. Once I had fixed that, the light went away.
I then cleared the DTC codes and after some time passed (probably give it an hour or so), the message in the Fordpass app went away.
Thanks for letting me know it's possible to do without removing the steering wheel. That's the part that made me the most anxious about this mod to the point of me waiting for the opportunity to get in touch with someone who would know what they are doing
Thanks everyone for your responses. I'll probably do what WJOHNM said, since while the scratch is deep, it's not too noticable at a reasonable distance, meaning the touchup paint should be fine if done properly. I'm quite lucky that the bumper took the vast majority of the hit, with only a tiny...
I guess I found my answer to whether ceramic coating would have prevented something like this. The answer seems to be no.
And with paint protection film costing between $2000-$7000, you'd have a difficult time breaking even as you'd need to repaint your truck 3-12 times to make up the...
I wonder if I should get a ceramic coating while I'm at it so something like this doesn't happen again? I mean it's expensive, but if it protects the paint, especially with a lifetime warranty, it could be worth the additional $1000. It should at least bring the scratch resistance in line with...
This is my first vehicle which I've had for about a month now and I pulled out incorrectly and scratched up my paint on a wood railing. It was mostly bumper, but it did expose a smaill amount of metal right at the border.
Should I get it fixed? How much will it cost? Will it rust if I don't...
True, though the subwoofer is probably the largest source of sticker shock when considering a sound system upgrade, and it might be the most noticable upgrade for some people. But yeah, the wiring and amp need to be taken into account for sure. I mainly made this thread to start a discussion...
