When I picked up my Lariat, the finance manager used $2,750 as the replacement cost of the headlight assembly as the reason to purchase the extended warranty. You can no longer just replace a bulb but must replace the whole assembly if a lamp goes out! Prime example of over engineering...
I purchased a Maverick that came available from another dealer. Still have a basic XL hbd on order (trailer hitch is the only option). It is still unscheduled like so many others. What would you do with the existing order? Keep it active and then sell it? Turn it over to the dealer...
The Lariat LUX was way more than my original order of a basic XL. I would not have done it if they wanted more than MSRP. Still deciding on what to do with my original order.
Got a call from Klaben Ford that a customer could not take delivery of a Lariat Hybrid Lariat LUX package loaded to the gills. Salesman wanted to know if I wanted it for MSRP!!! Turns out they will not sell above sticker price even for customer orders that did not take delivery. This was...
Depending on where the leaf is, you could try putting in radiator sealant or head gasket sealant. Had a head gasket go on an old Chevy truck - put in BarsLeak head gasket sealant and ran it for another three years without problem.
Hybrid XL - Carbon Grey only option was the hitch. Ordered 11/5/21 - confirmed - not scheduled. Bought my wife a Corolla Hybrid in the mean time (55.6 avg MPG). Still looking forward to the Maverick for me.
Like you, I'm not a big fan of the steelies. Will do something similar with my XL if it arrives - I mean when it arrives :)
Was just considering painting them black but your caps look much better IMHO. There are a lot of wheel cover options out on Amazon to Ebay motors to pick from.
Had an original Ford Maverick in Mustard yellow. Bought it for $50 as a bridge vehicle. Previous owner converted it from an automatic to a stick - drove it for two months then gave it to my younger brother. He drove it for another year until wrecked. I am hoping to like the new one much more!
Really liked our Subaru Impreza, could drive up wet grass hill from a dead stop. Great in snow also , but went for the Hybrid Mav to get rid of the gas guzzling Suburban / trailer combo.
Had enough of poor Dodge reliability in a Durango. Cracked manifold, poor hose quality, vacuum leaks... on and on. Had to give it up as scrap. Never again.
