Best explanation of why these issues are occurring and info on option three can be found here.
From everything I've seen on the forums, you basically have three options to solve the issue.
1. Take your car back to the dealership every time the battery dies until they eventually get tired of it...
Who could have guessed that cheapening out and installing a battery with less capacity than what the truck was designed around would causes issues down the road? Especially after they sent two years refusing to acknowledge there have been repaeated issues stemming from this decision.
Also...
On the keypad, the only option is a stick-on one with a battery and while it's technically possible to program it yourself, it's difficult and more expensive than most dealerships charge to do it.
I know there's a 98% chance I'm just replying to a bot who's sole purpose is making it look like Ford pretends to care on here while actually doing nothing, but on the off chance a real person occasionally checks this account, what exactly are you able to do that the dealership sales manager...
Built the last week of January, got caught in the gas tank recall, is being held at the depot and not estimated to be fixed until after Thanksgiving. So there's that....

I guess it depends on how long of a time frame you consider "solved" to be. My semi-educated guess is that option four will slowly become option two as the battery becomes more and more damaged. It seems like most people who have gotten the "Deep Sleep" message will adjust or change something...
Just as an update, Ford has know about the issue since the first week of February and issued the recall for the affected VINs the first week of March. It's now the second week of May and Ford has still not informed the affected customers of the issue.
@Ford Motor Company Just wondering if Ford...
I'm sure with all the million and one monitoring reports that get sent to Ford from our trucks that they know almost to the one how many are experiencing the battery issues. And I'm sure they've done the math and figure out they'll make more money in the long run saving the $0.0037 per battery...

I mean, if I had the kind of money where buying a new vehicle every other year didn't impact our finances, I'd probably do that too. Though that's assuming it's a better vehicles, so in this case....
If it was a rollover order like mine, all of those features were removed over a year after the order was placed. Not that you shouldn't have know that when it rolled over, but I can see waiting it out to see whether or not you really wanted it when it did arrive.
I just wish I had the option of...
According to Ford Customer Care, there will be no rollovers or price protection going into 2025. One of the main reasons I reordered my truck that was effected fuel tank recall, besides the even longer waiting time, is that they would not confirm they would even extend the private offer on the...
Can do, but since my trucks not going to get here until sometime in July, it might be a while before I can give you an update. 652 days and counting...
From what I've seen on here the AVS Bugflector II Bug Shield is the only one that somewhat helps with bugs and even then, only somewhat. But it's the best of the available options.
Except it's been out of stock everywhere for three months now and I don't know if they're actually going to make...
I feel your pain. 651 for me and still counting. Currently looks like I'm going to hit the two year anniversary of my down payment before my truck gets here.
I would check out the two threads below, if you haven't already when dealing with any battery issues.
Tread about Ford using a different type of (cheaper) battery than the truck was designed for and issues that causes.
Thread about a battery fuse issue that might produce the results that occurred.

Got a replacement truck ordered and scheduled with my private offer and price protection transferring over to the new VIN when it's generated. Should be here mid-July.
The only silver lining on the whole experience is that will push me past the 90-day waiting...
I'm not one for giving dealer's the benefit of the doubt, but he might be telling the truth. I'm not sure if it applies to you, but for anyone that had a truck fabricated the third week of January and is still waiting on delivery, there's a good chance it was part of the gas tank recall.
Those...
Not that it makes you feel any better, but at least you know now. It seems like Ford has been actively trying to hide it from the people and dealers affected.
If you're "lucky", your dealer could put in for a replacement truck for you. My replacement is scheduled to be here around the middle of...
For anyone that had a truck fabricated the third week of January and is still waiting on delivery, there's a good chance it was part of the gas tank recall. The one of the only ways to find out is to check the VIN with the NHTSA, as Ford is not informing customers or dealers if their truck was...
