  1. Love My Jason Mid-rise FH Topper

Humm interesting. I think the gap between the cab and cap would bug me, but maybe not...
  2. Truck came in handy for black Friday

I'm proud of you for using straps :D
  3. AWD Hybrid Maverick Prototype Possibly Spied Testing

Agreed. A generator plus a battery is a great combo for long range trips without owning a 2nd (or 3rd) vehicle, or renting one. PHEV is the way to go. EV at home, HEV on the road. I've taken many roadtrips in a 2nd gen Chevy Volt, it's really quite awesome to have the EV + HEV all in one car.
  4. Paint chips / rock chips

It's not "too hard". But pros make it look a lot easier than it is. It's like rebuilding an engine. Pretty simple. But also a skilled task.
  5. Paint chips / rock chips

I used XPEL in 6" for the rear and 2.75" for the front. Along with a couple of spray bottles with soapy water and tack solution. Total cost was around $60 including bottles, razor blades and diabetic needles - I got a few air pockets in the first rear door I tried...Should have done one of the...
  6. Compensation from Ford for hybrid defects

I've owned one Hyundai (2019 Ioniq Electric) and dealt with two dealers (the one I bought it from, and one that took 3mo to diagnose and repair a charging issue). The dealers were "fine". They had no loaners for the 3mo+ repair. However, Hyundai paid in full for a rental car. I think the...
  7. Paint chips / rock chips

Im considering doing PPF on my front end myself. I did my door sills and they got progressively better from definitely good enough to almost perfect. The only issue with the almost perfect ones (the two front doors, I started at the rear) is the bottom edge, it's not perfect but no one besides...
  8. Paint chips / rock chips

I'd strongly suggest you do a whole front end PPF if you're worried about paint chips. My Mav caught a few in the first 1k. My Hyundai didn't have any after 18k, and a lot of tailgating on the freeway vs keeping away from trucks and shit in the Mav...
  9. 📊 Maverick Order Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!]

I'd love to know how to open the sheet in a standalone window, it would make it *vastly* more usable. However, you can use your browser search (ctrl+f in many browsers). LOL facepalm, did I submit a new record vs an update for the delivery update? I didn't think so, but I now have 2 rows in the...
  10. 📊 Maverick Order Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!]

Submitted an update a few weeks ago, forgot to make a post...
  11. Just a “heads up” as your Maverick goes into production

I'm in the PNW, but I was thinking about this yesterday when I was all sweaty and sitting on my Lariat seats. It's too bad that the Lariat Lux doesn't have cooled seats. A lot of lower end vehicles do these days, but not the Maverick.
  12. Just a “heads up” as your Maverick goes into production

Wow, fuck that dealer. I'd be extremely pissed.
  13. Buyers Remorse?

I'd say my only real regret with the Mav is not ordering it in September when I was waffling on buying a used truck and keeping my EV, or a Mav and selling my EV.
  14. Oregon

They're "bad" but fairly unnoticable, one of them is on the back of the roof and you can only see it when standing above and behind the vehicle (that one is into the primer), the other is on the back of the hood by the cab and I have trouble finding it and never see it outside of shop lights...
  15. Oregon

Well no shit, a week. The dealer basically said 18hr. I just checked my email, I emailed my sales guy 38hr after delivery. I guess I have to open a case with Ford. I do have concerns about having it repaired though, do I really want even worse (softer) paint? Or is that not a thing with Ford...
  16. Buyers Remorse?

I think I can get pictures of the scratches, I couldn't get one of the dust specs to show up, but the dealer sure agreed that existed. Maybe I need to drag out my DSLR+polarized filter.
  17. Oregon

I bought at Landmark Ford in Tigard. The sales guys were fine to great. The finance guy was fine, the sales push for the *extremely expensive* extended warranty was under 2min, really minimal. They didn't try to screw around with finance terms or whatnot. The vehicle was delivered extremely...
  18. Buyers Remorse?

Love my Mav, hate Ford's quality control and my dealers inspection process. I have a few panels that need repainting and that makes me really sad. Ford will cover some of them, and not others. Though honestly the damage is so extremely minimal, I'm probably going to not fix the 22 and order a 23...
  19. 2.0 EB Transmission just said goodbye

Holy shit... 2-3mo or straight up no appointments... Amazing. My dealers finance guy said Ford doesn't provide them, so get an extended warranty. For $13K (60mo/60k-mi) I said I'll self insure. I don't know how truthful he was, I wasn't about to spend that much. I also have a project car I can...
