Yeah, you're in a state where pick-ups are king so that Maverick will be gone quick I am sure.
I'll see how I do on in stock ones once they hit NYC dealers.
Plan to order really but will see what happens at a dealer first especially with winter coming.
Just for reference my FiL was qouted $10k over a sticker on an in Stock Rav4 with a $35k MSRP ...
"We're selling today for $45k" ... guy didn't even blink.
I laughed and told him I was born at night but not last night.
So this is about 10% over sticker before tax ...
Normal times I would no way in hell do this ... but if you are desperate it might be a decent deal nowadays.
What did you like about the XL, the Steelies or the Carbonized color?
I'm most likely going to order a Cyber Orange XLT for the upgraded features but really want steelies ... I'm sure someone will sell me a set down the line.
Great review. Still waiting for those Hybrid reviews. I am sure performance will not match the EcoBoost. It's all about fuel economy with that one.
How the heck did Toronto get stock already and not NYC Tri State? :)
I think the mere simplicity of its design is what's most appealing to me, and that if I want a bone stock $20k one it is available. 40mpg at this price with the utility it provides is all I need to sell me on it.
I've had cars with ingeniously thought out everything and at the end of the day...
I understand ... out of curiousity why are you so hung up on these minor credit point drops if you are not planning to finance in the near future anyway? ... I don't know, but my credit score always fluctuates 10-20 points (sometimes more) up and down and never was penalized on loans. I'm in the...
I am married and my wife is an accountant :) ... and we share ALL expenses including my toy expenses.
Also According to FICO, a hard inquiry from a lender will decrease your credit score five points or less. If you have a strong credit history and no other credit issues, you may find that your...
Then I would take the Maverick cash and put it towards the principal on the house which I am sure you carry at least a 2.5% rate on ... and finance the car at 0%.
50 here ... first pickup for me.
There is a saying among car makers ... you can sell a young car to an old man but you can't sell an old car to a young man.
The section below is what I think is the main hold on innovation. A chip that triggers the anti-lock system for example is tried and true while a new updated one would mean possibly the rethinking of the entire braking system in cars. At least that's what I understand.
Also what I am noticing...
This new design language of Hyundai while trendy now, I don't think will age well.
That weird grille and headlight also doesn't look very offroad worthy and look like will take any sort of rough roads well.
It's a nice truck overall for the beach for example but overall its too pricey for what...
This was pretty good ... simple comparison ... and thanks again for a 6'5" guy representing us mutants! He knew his stuff ... I like energy in young people which is sadly lacking in most 20 somethings nowadays anyway.
The Ranger definetelly looks more cramped in the cabin than the Maverick...
I feel this general restlessness is proof of why car dealers are charging over msrp and used car prices are through the roof as well.
This applies to the housing market also.
I get it if you have no car currently or roof over your head ... but otherwise ... what's the panic about?
