Agreed, unfortunately protections usually go to he who "donates" the most money. Hopefully the saying "don't bite the hands that feeds you" comes to fruition. We as a community need to out these dealers and stop doing business with them.
I think most are well aware of the wait. The vast majority of the "angry" customers were screwed by their dealers having the price change months to a year after initial order. Seems a lot like theft to me and understanbly makes people upset. I get that some people have a good dealers doing...
Agreed, better to under estimate and over deliver (Can always re-open order banks if production permits). What ever the dealer allocation model, Ford and it's dealers come up with it needs to be conveyed to the public as we have no idea what dealership has what allocations. We just want a...
Not directed at you, you guys are the diamond in the rough. My comment was directed at Ford, their ordering process leaves a lot to be desired.
You're videos are a great service to the community, I would not be getting a truck if not for the info you provide. Thanks..
Well that sucks! That doesn't sound like price protection at all, more like crime. Let's hope all industries don't adopt this absurd model of doing business.
Hoping for the best
After giving up all hope of getting this truck, it looks like I have a XLT Hybrid built and awaiting Transportation. Before I get my hopes up is there anyway I can see if I'm "price protected" other than contacting my dealer? Also, do I have any recourse if the dealer decides screw me by not...
Sounds like you had the privelage of working for one of the good dealerships, but again unforutuantley they are not all good (just read all the posts of cancelled orders/renegotiating terms or out right stealing custumer orders/etc). And unlike warranty work where you can take it to another...
I'm well aware of government overreach. The manufacturer pays for warranty work (albeit at a reduced rate the reason many dealers are reluctant to fix issues) so any repair shop the manufacturer authorized could facilitate warranty work.
Some dealers may be honest but unfortunately many are...
Don't buy, we need to stop normalizing this "market adjustment" bull shit. MSRP has already been normalized which blows my mind. The best thing about the truck is the price let's keep it that way..
