I had a friend do something similar with portable generators after an I estorm knocked out power to many. He trucked them in, marked them up, and was later fined by the State Attorney General for price gouging. He had to pay the fines and refund the customers for the markup.
Most donāt seem to understand that. Iām a couple years, people that paid these overinflated prices and financed most of it will be underwater on their loans. Stupid is as stupid does.
You donāt lose all that tax, at least where I live you donāt. You apply it to your next vehicle. For example if you sell your Mav for 35k and buy something else thatās 37k, you only pay tax on $2k.
I find this hard to believe with mostly highway miles. Hybrid mileage drops on the highway. Iāve gotten 60+ mpg around town. But have never gotten over 35-36 at highway speeds of 65-70. Believe me Iāve tried, but itās not possible unless itās all down hill.
You canāt āopt outā of auto (law in my state) or home insurance (at least while there is a mortgage). Comparing Apples to Oranges. Extended car warranties are primarily a rip off because most find ways not to cover things when claims are made.
Heās right, lots of people on this forum boasted about ordering multiple vehicles at different dealers to take the one that arrived first. That pisses me off that people do that crap, while others orders are pushed back. Same thing happened with Broncos.
Thatās why I will never live in an HOA. People arenāt gonna tell me what I can park in my driveway and build in my yard, all while I hand them money to be a member, thatās just stupid.
The longest board of these few I was hauling is 9.5ā long. Hell of a lot safer to haul this way. I did have a flag on that longest board, but took it off before I took this pic.
