$1000 over isn't bad. I would just count that as a "no wait" fee for not having to go through the order process and waiting months (10 months for me) like the rest of us that put in orders.
Congrats!
Personally I would not touch a salvage vehicle. Don't care how good a body shop is at straightening out a damaged frame, in my opinion, a unibody that has had it's frame straightened is never the same.
Well, there are vendors that sell "Texas edition" car badges on Etsy for starters ......

There is a reason hybrids make more sense than an EV. Hybrid batteries are much smaller than EV batteries and Hybrid batteries will last more (cycles) because the batteries aren't used 100% of the time. Also cost. A hybrid is cheaper than an EV. EV's will continue to climb in price as demand for...
I still don't understand how having the same color makes the shape of a vehicles profile look different. So if I paint my Maverick in Ferrari red, my Maverick will look like a Ferrari?
I cannot understand why they put the microphone on the pillar near the window. My Fiesta, Focus and Escape all had the mic in the center by the map lights away from the window. The Maverick has the worst buffeting when the window is open than any other vehicle I've ever owned.
It's much different since I started driving in 1984. Besides there being like 90+ million more people in the country and thus many more cars and traffic, there seems to be a bit of insanity in the past 8 years or so. This me first, gotta speed and save every second mentality. Most people drive...
No. A big mistake by Ford. Don't know if it was cost cutting or what.
Another odd thing I've noticed. If you turn your map light(s) on and then shut off the vehicle, you can't just turn the light off, you have to put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on and then turn the light off.
I've been using the Weathertech clearcovers for years. They are tough, never had a rock or piece of debris crack one while traveling on the interstate. Keeps the plates clean. Gives a sleeker look as the front of the cover is completely flush and there are covers that cover the screws. Each...
The XLT came with body color mirrors also as long as you have the luxury package.
Another alternative might be to buy a stick on cap.

You could sand it and get some...
The Maverick is my first AWD vehicle and the first with an automatic temperature control.
Personally I do not like the ATC or all the safety electronics. I had a 2018 Escape S. Loved the simplicity of it. No auto start stop. No ATC. No automatic braking. No blind spot monitoring. It didn't turn...
Think there might have been a few different colors. Mine is black. It's still sitting in the box. Something I'll probably never use, but it shore is purty! 🤠
Well I'm assuming the electronic parking brake is off? I'd rather have the old pull manual type.
Could be a loose wire or bad relay that won't let the electronic brake fully engage disengage?
Looks similar. But the Tufskinz one aren't ABS plastic as far as I can tell. They have a slight give to them almost like a hard rubbery material, they are made in the USA, have 3m adhesive and are supposed to be able to last the life of the vehicle.
Not saying the Amazon ones are bad or that the...
I installed the Tufskinz letters in matte black. A little pricey at $59 but they are high quality and a Ford accessory. I ordered them directly from Tufskinz. I think the molded letters much easier to install than the vinyl ones. I was hesitant about putting letters on the tailgate, but from a...
As far as I know it is just an electronic change. The computer adjusts the RPM's and shift points. I know when I go from Normal to Sport, in Sport mode I've observed the RPM's are higher when I am at a stop light idling.
Didn't know the trailer hitch was not on all Mavericks. Yeah just looked at my window sticker and says it's optional equipment. My bad! I have the luxury package so I guess it was part of that.
Here are also some back seat protectors. I have the Amazon basic one. Don't have pets myself but never know when you might have to put some grungy item in the back seat.
Back seat protector...
Another thing. You REALLY have to watch out for is that the interior plastic scratches VERY easily. Never seen anything like it in any other vehicle I've ever owned. Don't know if Ford used some kind of recycled plastic or what.
