I would think it is weight related.
  4. Ford Maverick then vs now — same name, totally different vibe 😂

Our Comet was that color, unfortunately it came with a pea green interior.
  5. 2025 Maverick block heater repair coming?

Well I feel a bit mislead, the info from my dealer was the "parts for the heater recall are in". I just picked it up, the part that was in was a plug for where the heater used to be. They explained that the heater was being returned to Ford, and when the replacement heater was available I would...
  6. Any pictures of 2022 Maverick truck and 90’s Ranger side by side?

I had a 1984 Ranger supercab, dimensionally they are similar but the Rangers bed was longer and cab shorter. It had two gas tanks and was great towing the boat to the grandparents cabin. I loved that truck but had to sell it when the second baby came along. All 3 of us were able to ride in it, I...
  7. Fuel Gauge Question

The last two times I changed batteries I used the battery out of my lawn mower and connected to ground and the positive battery post or charging lug with jumper cables. Worked great!
  8. 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid Fuel Gauge EMPTY graphics

Those gauges could have been so much better so easily....
  9. Ford Maverick then vs now — same name, totally different vibe 😂

My wifes first car was a very badly rusted out Maverick, after it fell apart we bought a Comet which was Mercury's version. They were very basic and cheap transportation, I think we paid $250 for the Comet. The straight six engine was unbreakable. Comparing the two, no I dont think there are...

Thanks to another user I found out you need to buckle all 3 rear seatbelts and that annoying seatbelt screen will be gone.
  11. 2025 Maverick block heater repair coming?

  12. Does sound deadener have to be removed to change the oil and filter? 2025 Maverick 2.0

It does for the oil change, not a big deal if you have a cordless driver. The air filter is accessed from the top.
  13. Moab Shader Trail with EcoBoost Lariat (Canyonlands National Park)

I wanted to do that trail but it was closed when I was there a couple years ago, apparently there had been too much rain which makes it impassable. Canyonlands and Arches are well worth the trip, hoping to get to Bryce soon.
  14. Should I sell my New maverick or not?

Agreed, let Ford fix it under warranty. If they can't make them replace it or do a buyback. I doubt this is a common problem, no rattles in mine.
  15. 🛻 BedRug is Now Husky – Preorders for the New Guardian Comfort and Guardian Impact

I LOVE my BedRug! It is easy on the knees and gives just enough slip so things are easy to slide in and out but just enough grip so you dont have everything changing sides when you take a corner. I have water leaks at both front corners of my tonneau cover, and am surprised that the water drains...
  16. Auto AC is weak when it is hot outside

I drove across Texas in August in a black SUV with a glass roof. Driving at night became the preferred way to travel.
  17. Ajax Lariat towing update with travel trailer

Keep in mind the maximum frontal area of the trailer with 4K tow package is 40 square feet.
  18. [Quick Survey] Got a tire inflator? Tell us what's missing

Built in light, seems like my tires only need air at night!
  19. Auto AC is weak when it is hot outside

Auto setting will activate the AC even if it is cold out if it thinks dehumidification is necessary. The auto setting works very well for me, keeping the temp consistent and the fan adjusting the airflow as necessary, I seldom have to touch the HVAC controls. If you haven't tried the heated seat...
  20. Auto AC is weak when it is hot outside

I have a 25 and keep it on 1 bar auto, no problems last summer keeping cool and was plenty warm this winter. I am wondering if those of you who are struggling to keep cool have a sunroof? The solar heat gain from them can be very high.
