Those plastic kayaks are heavy. Build a cedar kayak. The 14’ Petrel Play is designed for heavy surf and stable fishing. My build should be 35lbs when finished. Easy to lift that onto a Maverick overhaul rack.

Looks like I’m not waiting to order in August. Got a call today that a Lariat Hybrid with luxury package was available. I wanted an XLT. I also wanted to not pay a stupid high dealer markup. Impatience got the best of me. Picking up Friday!
