Well, I got forscan and the usb connector and I also could not find the keycode.

thanks for this. If I had bought the truck at the local dealer, they would have done it for free. But it would cost me $120 otherwise. I have just ordered the cable to connect my laptop to the truck. I have also downloaded ForScan, so I am hoping to get the code that way.

Can anybody verify this? Looks like I could get the Forscan device for a whole lot less than $120! I have been frustratingly unsuccessful in getting the two key method to work for me.

Maybe my key does not qualify as "smart?" My XLT has no push button ignition switch.

I have tried both at accessory position and the on but not started position but I have not tried starting the engine first. I will try that tomorrow.

Well, I tried the two-key method described above and also recommended by ford.com. It did not work for me, I have no idea why. Regarding going to the dealer and other dealers, I do not live in a metropolitan area so I can only go to one. The local one wants $120.

If the key is in and turned to the on position, it cannot be removed.

The owner's wallet card in the glove box apparently got thrown out with packing material. I do not have the master code for the keyless entry pad. When I went to the local Ford dealer (I did not buy the car from them) they said it would be $120, highway robbery. Is there any way to get around...
